Memorial Day is a time to reflect on how lucky we are to live in a nation of freedom and opportunity.  It is also a time set aside to honor the men, women, and families who have fought so hard and sacrificed so much to keep it that way.

Newtown Memorial Day Ceremony

Hulmeville Memorial Day Ceremony

Where: Memorial Park, Bellevue Ave. and Neshaminy St., Hulmeville PA

Warrinton Township’s Memorial Day Ceremony

When: Saturday 5/24/14 11am
Where: Igoe Porter Wellings Memorial Field, 3095 Bradley Rd., Chalfont, PA

Washington Crossing Memorial Day Observation

When: Sunday 5/25/14 1pm-2pm
Where: Washington Crossing Historic Park
What: Event held at the gravesite of the Continental Soldiers will include war re-enactors, a colonial color guard, Old Barracks Fife and Drum corps, and the Guardians of the National Cemetery Firing Party.  More information call 215-493-4076.  Sponsored by the Friends of Washington Crossing Park.

Northampton Township Memorial Day Ceremony

When: Monday 5/26/14 9am
Where: Veterans Memorial Park, Routes 232 & 332, Richboro PA.
What: Taps and a flag ceremony.

Quakertown Memorial Day Parade

When: Saturday 5/24/14 11am
Where: From 9th street to Memorial Park in Quakertown

Doylestown Memorial Day Parade

When: Monday 5/26/14 10am
Where: From CB West traveling east on West Court Street, east on West State Street, north on North Main Street to the Doylestown Cemetery

Warminster Memorial Day Parade

When: Monday 5/26/14 10am ceremony 11am parade
Where: From Warminster Township Building, 401 Gibson Ave, Warminster, PA, east on Henry Ave, north on York Rd, east on Street Rd, north on Louis Drive to the VFW Post at 645 Louis Drive.

Newtown Memorial Day Parade

When: Monday 5/26/14 8:30am
Where: From Newtown Commons west building 3 Penns Trail, Newtown PA.

Penndel-Hulmeville Memorial Day Parade

When: Monday 5/26/14 9am
Where: From Ford Ave in Hulmeville, follows Main Street, Hulme Street, and Bellevue Ave continues into Penndel to Crescent Street, Hulmeville Ave to the Penndel Recreation Field.

Perkasie Memorial Day Parade

When: Monday 5/26/14 9am
Where: From 7th & Market and continues from Market to 4th St., 4th to Chestnut, Chestnut to 5th St., 5th to Menlo Park.  A ceremony will follow afterwards at 10am.  Childre are welcome to decorate their bikes or scooters (no skateboards, please).

Other Memorial Day Fun

Memorial Day BBQ and Fireworks at Sesame Place

When: Saturday 5/24: 7:30pm; 5/25: 5pm & 7:30pm; 5/26: 5pm
Where: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne, PA

Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast

When: Monday 5/26/14 7am-Noon
Where: Doylestown Lodge 245, 55 East State Street, Doylestown, PA

Community Pancake Breakfast at Salem

When Monday 5/26/14 7:30am-10am
Where: Salem United Church of Christ, 186 E. Court Street, Doylestown, PA
What: Come enjoy Plain, Chocolate Chip or Blueberry Pancakes, with orange juice, coffee, tea, milk and regular and sugar free syrups. We are on the parade route, take out available to enjoy curb-side! Adults $8, Children 3-9 $6.
