Memorial Day is about honoring our fallen soldiers who have fought hard for America and its citizens. Communities throughout Bucks County will have music, floats, and waving flags honoring America’s soldiers this Memorial Day Weekend.

Memorial Day Ceremonies

Bristol Borough Memorial Day Ceremony

When: Monday, May 25 at 9:30am
What: The Robert W. Bracken American Legion Post 382 in Bristol Borough will hold Memorial Day observances on Monday, May 25 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Harriman Monument on the corner of Farragut Avenue and Monroe Street. Observances will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Church on Radcliffe Street, 10 a.m. at St. James Church (Walnut and Cedar Streets) and 11 a.m. at the Bristol Cemetery and Route 13.

Hulmeville Memorial Day Ceremony

When: Saturday, May 23 at 2pm
Where: Memorial Park, Bellevue Ave. and Neshaminy St., Hulmeville PA
What: Speeches and live music. Sponsored by the Penndel-Hulmeville Historical Society.

Northampton Township Flag Raising Ceremony

When: Monday, May 25 at 8am
Where: The Veterans Memorial in front of the Administration building. 55 Township Road, Richboro

Northampton Township Memorial Day Ceremony

When: Monday, May 25 at 9am
Where: Robert H. Dembowski Jr. Veterans Memorial Park at the corner of Route 232 and Route 332 in Richboro.

Warrington Township’s Memorial Day Ceremony

When: Saturday, May 23 at 11am
Where: Igoe Porter Wellings Memorial Field, 3095 Bradley Rd, Chalfont, PA
What: Annual ceremony is sponsored by Warrington Township and the Veteran affairs council.

Memorial Day observation in Washington Crossing Historic Park 2013

Washington Crossing Memorial Day Observance

When: Sunday, May 24 at 1pm
Where: Washington Crossing Historic Park
This event will be held at the gravesite of the Continental Soldiers will include war re-enactors, a colonial color guard, Old Barracks Fife and Drum corps, and the Guardians of the National Cemetery Firing Party, Daughters of the American Revolution, veterans, Boy Scouts, and other honored guests. During the event, American flags will be placed on the graves.

Doylestown Memorial Day Parade
When: Monday, May 25 at 10am
Where: From CB West traveling east on West Court Street, east on West State Street, north on North Main Street to the Doylestown Cemetery

Langhorne Borough Memorial Day Parade
When: Monday, May 25th at 9am
Where:  Parade Route throughout Langhorne. Reviewing Stand is on the steps of Will Travel's building.
What: The Langhorne Borough Memorial Day Parade steps off on Monday, May 25 following services at 9 a.m. The parade, which will march through the borough, is presented by the Jesse W. Soby Post of the American Legion.

 

Newtown Memorial Day Parade
When: Monday, May 25 at 9am
Where: The Newtown Commons West building on Newtown-Yardley Road. Ceremony will follow after parade.

Penndel-Hulmeville Memorial Day Parade
When: Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 9:00am to 12:00pm
Where: From Ford Ave in Hulmeville, follows Main Street, Hulme Street, and Bellevue Ave continues into Penndel to Crescent Street, Hulmeville Ave to the Penndel Recreation Field.

Quakertown Memorial Day Parade
When: Monday May 25th at 9am
Where: From 9th street to Memorial Park in Quakertown

Sellersville Memorial Day Parade
When: Saturday, May 23 2015 10am
Where: The parade route begins on South Main Street at East Grandview Avenue and proceeds to North Main Street & Temple Avenue; from Temple Avenue to the Lake Lenape Park entrance located off Walnut Street. Immediately following the parade there will be a ceremony at the War Memorial.

Tullytown Boro Memroail Day Parade
When: Saturday, May 23rd 2015 at 12pm
What: Tullytown Boro will be hosting it annual memorial day parade starting 12pm and going from mankraft to the Tullytown boro building. Following the parade a brief service to honor all the past and still servicing members of our armed services. There will be a free concert that night in the Tullytown park.

Warminster Memorial Day Parade
When: Monday, May 25 at 10am ceremony parade following directly after. Rain date: Saturday, May 30
Where: Warminster Township Building, 401 Gibson Ave, Warminster, PA.

Other Memorial Day Fun

Memorial Day BBQ and Fireworks at Sesame Place
When: May 23-24, 2015 at 5:00PM and 7:30PM and May 25, 2015 at 5:00PM in Big Bird's Riverside Pavilion
Where: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne, PA
What: Open air BBQ in Big Birds Riverside Pavilion followed by a fireworks show on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Adult (ages 10 & up) $29, Child (ages 2-9) $18, Children 23 months and younger are free but require a reservation.

Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast
When: Monday, May 25 from 7am-Noon
Where: Doylestown Lodge 245, 55 East State Street, Doylestown, PA
What: Kids 6 and under eat FREE, $7 a person. TAKE-OUT IS AVAILABLE!! Open Rain or Shine. Sponsored by the Doylestown Lodge.

Community Pancake Breakfast at Salem
When Monday, May 25 at 7:30-10 am
Where: Salem United Church of Christ, 186 E. Court Street, Doylestown, PA
What: Come enjoy Plain, Chocolate Chip or Blueberry Pancakes, with orange juice, coffee, tea, milk and regular and sugar free syrups. We are on the parade route, take out available to enjoy curb-side! Adults $8, Children 3-9 $6. Tickets at the door. Sponsored by the Salem United Church of Christ.
