On-line Registration has just opened for one of Bucks County's most unique Christian youth camp experiences for students currently in grades 6-12! This year, first time campers can register for $85 for a full week of spiritual development, friendships, and fun. Highland Park Youth Camp is for the young person who is not quite sure what all this “God stuff” is about, for the person who wants a deeper relationship with God but doesn’t know where to start, and for the Christ follower who gives away God’s grace and love to others.
Highland Park Youth Camp has been in operation in Sellersville, PA since 1935, and strives to spread the word of the gospel through its yearly camp meetings. From July 31 through August 7, 2016, campers will stay overnight, and take part in daily afternoon and evening recreation, engaging bible studies with peers, nightly devotions led by their counselors, and evening services, featuring powerful messages delivered by our Guest Evangelist. Each School of Rock Summer Camp is five days (10 AM 3 PM) jam-packed with learning, practicing, and performing music. Over the course of the week, kids bond together with their bandmates, and go from zero to a full set of songs and performance at our School. Campers will spend the week immersed in the theme of each session.
Group rehearsal, song casting, one-on-one attention from our instructors, gear education, and band-related activities are all aimed at helping kids learn a set of songs and be totally ready to play them by the end of the week. A three-week intensive summer program, Global Scholars for Progress offers students opportunities to learn about current global challenges and to create real-world solutions to real-world issues.
At Global Scholars for Progress, scholars will explore the roles of political leaders, corporations and other powerful players in the global system, then work together to develop an Action Plan to bring back to their own community, with the goal of making a lasting impact on their community for generations to come.
Excursions to New York City, Washington D.C., Philadelphia and Princeton, NJ, will provide opportunities to meet with United Nations officials, organizations focused on global change, think tanks and other non-profit agencies. Find out if you have a hidden talent or what it takes to be the next Broadway or Idol STAR! This week- long camp will teach the basics of vocal control, breathing, posture, confidence, acting, and most importantly – HAVING FUN WHILE SINGING!! Everyone will be able to pick out songs and receive their own song CD. You don’t need to be able to read music! Program will culminate in an “Idol” show on Friday. Absolute Music School has enjoyed Pop/Broadway Camp for 11 years. We strive to have a Camp that is fun and affordable. Students are split into little groups and put together a musical show with solos, duets and group songs to perform on Friday. We work on confidence, breathing, posture, diction, stage presence, but most of all have fun, our councilors are AMS voice students who have all done Pop Camp and enjoy working with children.
