Calling all Bucks County bicyclists! Registration is now open for the 2012 Annual Covered Bridges Bicycle Ride, sponsored by the Central Bucks Bicycle Club. This year's event will be taking place on Sunday, October 7th with the earliest riders being able to check in at 7:30am. Enjoy this recreational ride featuring historic covered bridges and fall foliage.

There are a variety of courses for everyone of all ages to enjoy:

Beginners: Participate in the flat-n-family friendly 20-mile route with just one covered bridge

Experts: Go for the gold with the hilly 63-mile route, passing 6 covered bridges on your way.

Either way, all rides start and finish at Tinicum Park, located along the banks of the Delaware River at 963 River Road, Erwinna, PA.

Afraid you'll get hungry along the way? No worries because all routes include snack stops with fresh fruit and homemade baked goods prepared by the Central Bucks Bicycle Club members. Riders will also get a celebration lunch at the finish! SAG service (cyclist shorthand for “support and gear”)  will also be provided for those in need of assistance.

Proceeds from this event go to area charities through the Club's Grant Program, such as Bicycle Access Council, Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, College Settlement Camp, Neighborhood Bike Works, PA Walks & Bikes, and Central Bucks Family YMCA.
