This month, Bucks Happening is celebrating the holidays by bringing you the 12 Days of Christmas! Each weekday from December 1st through December 16th, we’ll cover something amazing about the holiday season in Bucks County- sites to see, happening holidays events, the best local gifts, and all sorts of other goodies.

For “Seven Swans-a-swimming,” we'll take a closer look at the beautiful sites to see in Bucks County throughout the holiday season…just in time for the weekend!


PEDDLER’S VILLAGE GRAND ILLUMINATION CELEBRATION, November 20th, 6:00-10:00pm, Peddler’s Village, Routes 202&263, Lahaska, PA: Kick off the holiday season as Santa switches on the Village’s outdoor holiday light display featuring one million lights at 6:15 pm. Santa begins his weekend visits with children at Giggleberry Fair through December. Join us for free cider and marshmallow toasting. Visit our shops throughout the weekend and preview our merchants’ distinctive choices for holiday gift giving.

WINTER WONDERLAND: HOLIDAY DECORATION AT FONTHILL CASTLE, December 1st-31st, Museum Hours, Fonthill Museum, East Court Street & Route 313, Doylestown, PA: Visit Fonthill for a regular tour and experience Henry Mercer’s castle decked out for the holidays with themed trees and Victorian decorations. LIVE NATIVITY, December 18th, 7:00pm, Point Pleasant Community Baptist Church, 35 River Road, Point Pleasant, PA: Everyone is invited to enjoy our annual Live Nativity to be held in the barn located across the street from the church.  This annual event will feature live character portrayals of Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, the wise men and children throughout the community as angels.  The stable will be filled with live animals and there is an opportunity to interact with them.  Light refreshments will be served in Fellowship Hall.Holiday-live-Nativity

 

BYERS' CHOICE, Chalfont, 4355 County Line Road, Chalfont, PA 18914: Upon entering the Christmas Museum, you will be instantly transported to Dickens' London as you walk upon cobblestone streets, taking in the flavor of the old city. You can peer into the shop windows and residences filled with Christmas displays, view a short firm about the history of Byers' Choice in a theater reminiscent of Victorian England,  and try on a top hat, scarf, muff, or bonnet to have your picture taken on our street scene.
