This year, the Festival will center in downtown New Hope Borough.  However, that won't be the only happening place along the river.  According to their website, the Delaware Canal Festival will be packed with food, games, and contests in New Hope, Bristol, and Yardley.  We've put together a list of festival times and events below.  Enjoy!

When:

Friday June 22nd, Saturday June 23rd, and Sunday June 24th

Where:

Centered in New Hope Borough, but there will be Canal Festival events in Bristol, Morrisville and Yardley!

Schedule:

Friday, June 22: Decorated Boat Parade, Concert, and Illuminated Wish Boat Float in Bristol Borough at Lagoon Park.

For $10 Canal Crawl participants will gain entry to three of New Hope's great restaurants – Villa Vito, Havana and the Logan Inn, and one amazing B&B – The Stephan House. The Stephen House boasts a fantastic view of New Hope from its rooftop deck.  (Beverages and additional menu items may be purchased at each establishment.)  Tickets to the Canal Crawl restaurant tour can be purchased online here.

Sunday, June 24: “My Name is Jeremiah,” a canal film for the family at the ActorsNet Theatre in Morrisville.

As part of the celebration, New Hope for Our Canal is actively raising funds to support the clean-up and re-watering of the Delaware Canal in New Hope.  They are a newly formed group of concerned citizens working to protect and improve this great piece of New Hope history.  By purchasing a wristband for the event, participants are helping the organization meet their fundraising goal of $50,000.  For more information on New Hope for Our Canal, visit their website here.
