We're shining a spotlight on beautiful bride Nakita Leigh, a fun-loving bride who was described by her photographer as “confident and boisterous and welcoming to everyone who crosses her path.”
After dating for a little over a year, and living together for about 5 months, Frank popped the question while on vacationin Orlando, FL for a highland games competition. Nakita explains,
“Of course he decided to ask me right before I was getting ready to throw, and fittingly I turned around and said ‘what do you want a**hole'. It was quite a hilarious moment, and I wouldn't have had it any other way.”
Nakita, a Forensic Technician for the City of Philadelphia, married Frank Marzano at the beautiful Normandy Farms in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania on October 7, 2016.

How did you and your now husband, Frank, meet?
Nakita: We met at our local gym (IronSport Gym in Glenolden, PA). He asked some of my friends (which are now his as well) about me and eventually we finally got to go out on dates and realized how much we had in common (: “
Tell us about your wedding location and why you chose it!
Nakita: Our wedding location was Normandy Farm in Blue Bell, PA. We were in the grand ballroom. We chose Normandy Farm for a number of reasons. My cousin got married there a few years prior and we loved the feel. We just loved the whole “one stop shop” location, so we didn’t have to worry about transportation (we had our ceremony in the grand ballroom garden as well)It is also such a unique atmosphere-not the typical country club-and that made me adoreit even more. On top of that, their service is impeccable! I can’t rave enough about them.
What was your favorite moment from the day of your wedding?
Nakita: My favorite moment was during our first look. Walking out of the door and seeing the groomsmen reaction to how I looked and the anticipation of having my husband see me was really exciting! And needless to say his reaction was priceless and it was a great moment…we couldnt stop smiling.
Which of these pictures is your favorite and why?
Nakita: I LOVE all of my pictures so much it’s hard to choose…but my favorite two are the one of me posing to the side looking down at my bouquet (simply because i feel like it looks so much like a magazine quality picture and it shows off my dress and curves…i just feel like i look gorgeous in it) and this one because to me, it looks so romantic and movie-esque. A lot of people seem to have the same feeling about it as well (: Our photographer, Melissa Kelly, is simply amazing.
How did your dress make you feel?
Nakita: My dress made me feel PHENOMENAL! For being a plus size bride the dress made me feel sexy, curvaceous and so beautiful. I absolutely loved it. It fit like a glove and i could not have asked for a better dress. From the whole looking for a dress process, to the fittings and finally leaving with my dress, your store was amazing and I am so fortunate I found it. I can’t thank you enough!”
