BCCC is sorry to postpone the event originally scheduled for March 25th, but did so out of concern for everyone's comfort and safety in light of the current public health situation. Stay tuned for a future date and a virtual offering, too! Check for updates here: https://www.bucks.edu/ admissions/events/
How can Bucks County Community College help you reach your educational goals?
Find out the answer to this question and more at the Bucks County Community College Spring Open House on March 25. The public, two-year college invites prospective students and their parents to the Newtown Campus on Wednesday, March 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Director of Admissions Marlene Barlow says that the open house is an excellent time for the community to learn about the many aspects of Bucks.
“Along with our highly regarded undergraduate programs, we have workforce training and continuing education programs for those who would benefit from short-term studies. According to a recent article in Inside Higher Ed, nearly half of all college students start their college education at a community college, and we’re proud to have educated thousands from our county, launching students onto premier transfer universities and satisfying careers in all areas of the workplace.” – Marlene Barlow, Director of Admissions
The free event is based in the Linksz Pavilion – the spacious hall connecting the Rollins Center student union building with the Gymnasium. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions. In attendance will be the academic department faculty and deans, along with representatives from Advising & Transfer Services, Student Life & Athletics, Financial Aid, the Scholarship Foundation, and more.
After attending Bucks, most students transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree, while others directly enter the workforce to launch a career. Courses can be taken at the original campus in Newtown, the Upper Bucks Campus in Perkasie, the Gene and Marlene Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks in Bristol, and online through the college’s award-winning virtual campus.
Bucks has maintained an open-admissions policy for more than 50 years, and is currently accepting applications for the summer semester that starts May 20. To learn more, visit bucks.edu/summer.
