Elisa Baxt, 51, of Yardley and Richard Voroscak, 54, of Bristol Borough celebrated their wedding engagement on December 19, 2015. Meet the lovely local couple:

Bucks Happening: When's the big day?

Elisa: TBD? TBD!ab0d3989-25bc-43aa-adb9-5c3721224b8f

Bucks Happening: How did you meet?

Elisa: We met on-line but instead of emailing back and forth for weeks, we decided to get together after our first phone conversation. We met on the patio of the Pineville Tavern for a drink and wound up sitting outside talking and laughing for six hours, then spending the next day bicycling around Core Creek Park.

Bucks Happening: Sounds romantic! How did Richard pop the question?

Elisa: It was a Saturday night and he told me we had a dinner reservation. He picked me up and on the way there his daughter called saying she needed to borrow a drill so he said we needed to swing by his shop for it and that I may as well come in with him. When we walked in, I was surprised to see a dinner table set in the most romantic setting I could have imagined. Richard shares his shop space with the workspace for the Bristol Riverside Theater and they had let him borrow from some of their sets. We sat down in a candlelit setting complete with a chandelier that he had created. It was so pretty and so romantic that I felt like I was on the TV show The Bachelor! Then he had wine and a five course meal “served” by his two daughters and two of my best friends. He got on one knee right before dessert and asked me to marry him. When I said yes, I heard clapping. It turns out other friends and family were there the whole time, they came out and congratulated us and our engagement turned into a big party!

Bucks Happening: Wow. Way to go, Richard! What was your favorite part of the magical evening?

98016ae1-bc96-493b-9e94-42a9afd33b61Elisa: The thing that was most amazing was the incredible amount of thought and effort he put into surprising me … from the ring- to a beautiful arrangement of flowers and balloons -to planning the meal-  to buying a chandelier just to hang for that night-to contacting my friends to be there! He put the whole evening together, I have never felt more special, and I had no idea he had it all planned. Of course I said yes!

Bucks Happening: What is your #1 wedding must-have?

Elisa: Hair and make up done by one of the most talented in a Bucks County!

Bucks Happening: When you need a break from wedding planning, where is your favorite date-spot in Bucks?

Elisa: We like walking around New Hope and Lambertville then winding up at Triumph Brewing for beers and a bite to eat.

Bucks Happening: Congratulations!
