Barefoot in the Park
Bucks County Playhouse, 70 South Main Street, New Hope
Shows starting at 4:00pm and 8:30pm

Join the Bucks County Playhouse for their first official opening night of Neil Simon’s iconic and beloved comedy Barefoot in the Park. First seen at the Playhouse nearly 50 years ago, prior to its original 1963 Broadway run, the trials and tribulations of two newlyweds on the top floor of a New York brownstone has been leaving audiences breathless with laughter for generations. Directed by Tony® Award nominee Sheryl Kaller (2010’s Tony® Award-nominated new play, Next Fall), this timeless comedy makes a welcome return to the BCP stage, providing a breath of fresh air for the dog days of summer.

Quakertown Fire Department Carnival
Memorial Park, 4th & Mill St., Quakertown
6:00pm – 10:00pm (also occurs Friday from 6:00pm – 10:00pm and Saturday from 3:00pm – 10:00pm)

Enjoy a night of fun, rides, and food at the Quakertown Fire Department Carnival! Each night comes with a variety of entertainment for the whole family. And top off the entire event with fireworks on Saturday night.

Don’t miss the area’s best outdoor concert venue! Enjoy music by local musicians, and wine tasting by Rose Bank Winery. Wine for sale by the glass or bottle. Friday Night Yoga

Back by popular demand, this Friday Night Yoga class is Om & Ah with Susanne Paulovic and Suzanne Brett!  This is a Vinyasa style class that is led by one talented instructor with hands-on adjustments provided by a second talented instructor!  Both Susanne and Suzanne will strive to transform your Yoga practice to one of poise, balance, joy, and proper alignment!

55th Annual New Hope Auto Show
New Hope-Solebury High School, 180 West Bridge Street, New Hope
9:00am – 4:00pm (also occurring on Sunday, 9:00am – 4:00pm)

The New Hope Auto Show returns once again to the New Hope-Solebury High School.  The event, sponsored by Porche, is celebrating its 55th year of showing classic and antique cars and motorcycles. The event has become an annual Bucks County tradition – drawing crowds of over 10,000 from all over the southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey regions and boasting an incredible assortment of rare and classic cars. Tickets are $5 for the general public, $3 for seniors, and free to military and children under 12 years of age. On site parking is available for $5 for a day.

Peach Festival featuring the Annual Sidewalk Sale
Peddler's Village, Routes 202 & 263, Lahaska
10:00am – 6:00pm (also occurring on Sunday, 10:00am – 6:00pm)

Come enjoy various peach treats throughout the Village while taking advantage of sizzling savings in every shop. Enjoy musical entertainment  throughout the weekend. Admission and parking is free. Finish the night with a showing of James and the Giant Peach at 8:30pm on the Main Green.

The Music Man
Newtown Theatre, 120 N. State Street, Newtown
Show starts at 3:00pm (performances from August 9th – 15th)

Meredith Wilson's affection musical tribute to small-town life of a bygone era follows the exploits of a fast-talking salesman and con artist who arrives in River City, Iowa, in 1912. Planningto set up a boy's band and abscond with the money raised for musical instruments, he is undone by a local librarian and music teacher. Marian pegs Harold Hill as a fraud until he enthusiastically comes through for the boys and the town, winning her affections. Wickedly funny and romantic with quirky characters and nostalgic yet rousing musical score, The Music Man is a must-see tour de force!

Concert in the Park
Memorial Park, 701 W. Mill Street, Quakertown
5:00pm – 8:30pm

Come join us to celebrate the 135 anniversary with the Quakertown Band.  Music and magic is on tap for the event.  Beginning at an earlier time, 5:00 pm.  There will be a rain venue for this event only. Admission is free!
