It's back to school time, which also means back-to-activity time. If you're thinking about enrolling in dance this year, head to the PA School of the Performing Arts Fall Open House on Thursday from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Meet their teachers and have a tour of their facilities at the beautiful Barn Studios in historic The Gathering in Wrightstown, conveniently located at the intersection of Penn’s Park Road and 2nd Street Pike. Get back your school spirit just in time for the new school year at the Central Bucks YMCA Pep Rally at CB West. Show your support for two area schools–CB West has their first scrimmage against Archbishop Wood at 6PM. Y Instructors will lead a Zumba Dance party from 4:30 to 5:30pm. The Music Gallop Fest is taking over Snipes Farm in Morrisville from 2pm to 11:30pm on Saturday, August 27th. Run Free Ranch, a nature-based life skills development program for inner-city youth, hosts its 1st Music Gallop Fest with over 12 diverse musical acts and artists will inspire the audience with their distinctive music styles. Early afternoon programming will focus on family and youth music groups, followed by an evening concert mode for adults’ listening enjoyment. Music artists performing at the festival include Danielia Cotton, US Rails (featuring Ben Arnold, Scott Bricklin, Tom Gillam, Joseph Parsons, Matt Muir), Howard Alden & Jeanne Gies, Tres Compadres, John Beacher, Swift Technique, Drummers with Attitude, Pazzion Girlz, A New Perspective, School of Rock-Doylestown, School of Rock-Princeton, and Trenton Central High School Inspirational Choir. There will also be a myriad of craft and food vendors, and kids activities will be featured as well. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Prices for tickets are $35 for adults, $15 for teens, and children 12 and under free with paid adult ticket.
On Saturday, 8/27, River Horse Brewing Company presents the Glim Dropper Vinyl Release Show with Prophets In Stereo at Puck in Doylestown. The cover is $8 and everyone who buys a ticket will be treated to a River Horse Special Ale.
Happening Sunday, August 28th is the Ash Mill Farm Grand Re-opening in Holicong PA. From 1pm to 7pm, enjoy a day of fun, food, & music to benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County. Beer will be provided by Weyerbacher, wine by Buckingham Valley Vineyard, and food by Riegelsville Inn. Doug Hawk Proposition will take the stage in the afternoon followed by the Billy Bauer Band in the evening.
