National Readathon Day

The first National Readathon Day, a marathon reading session is from noon to 4 pm in more than 100 locations across the United States. Supported by Penguin Random House, GoodReads, Mashable, and the National Book Foundation, this event is an invitation for readers from across the United States to commit to sitting down and reading a book, or books, for an afternoon. The , invites readers of all ages to its National Readathon Day Reading Party where they can come, munch on light snacks, and read for four straight hours in a quiet room. No registration is required.
Eastern Polar Plunge
Neshaminy State Park, 3401 State Road, Bensalem

The Polar Bear Plunge is a wild, crazy and just plain old fun event for a great cause. Plunge participants set a fundraising goal and get pledges from family, friends and colleagues for their commitment to be “freezin' for a reason” to help raise funds for Special Olympics Pennsylvania athletes. Plunge Time is 12:00 p.m. Registration Fee is a $50 minimum in donations to Plunge Projected
