Boo! Halloween is creeping up quick, so why not dress up as your favorite character and enjoy these spook-tacular events happening around Bucks County this Fall season. From family fun events to adults only events, this Halloween will be sure to scare you right into a great time!

Screen Shot 2015-10-13 at 11.13.06 PMYour 2015 Halloween Guide is presented by Newtown's Isaac Newton's, the home of Bucks County's Annual Pumpkinfest! The 3rd Annual Pumpkinfest will take place on Saturday, October 17th with specialty beers on tap including the Tired Hands Seasonal Spiced Squash IPA (6.4%),  Elysian Punkuccino Coffee Pumpkin Ale (5%), Coronado Punk’in Drublic (10%), Southern Tier Pumking (8.6%), River Horse Hipp-O-Lantern (8.5%) in cask, and more.  Stay tuned for the exact tapping schedule and our seasonal foods specials created just for Pumpkinfest. Stop in all season long to savor the most delicious flavors of the season.

Boo Bash at the YMCA
Friday, October 23rd
DoylestownThe Boo Bash at the YMCA is a family-friendly costume dress rehearsal with fun music, dancing, games, prizes, and refreshments. This event will take place from 6:30-8:30 pm and is free to the community.

Gaggle of Ghouls Walk
Friday, October 23rd
Doylestown– Led by PVNC’s somewhat Ghoulish naturalists, embark on an eerie walk through the trails of Peace Valley Nature Center at their Gaggle of Ghouls event. Along the way encounter some “creatures” that will expose myths about the creepy and frightening nature of cats, rats, bats, snakes, and other things that go bump in the night. Walks are ongoing throughout the evening and no pre-registration is required. This event runs from 6:30-8:30 pm. Fee is $3 for members and $6 for non-members.

Trek and Treat 5K and Family Fun at Lower Bucks YMCA
Saturday, October 24th
Fairless Hills– This Fall there will be trick or treating, pumpkin painting, fun food, and a bounce house at the Lower Bucks Family YMCA on Oxford Valley Road in Fairless Hills . There will also be a 5k through the Y’s neighborhood. Registration begins 7:00am. 1 mile Walk. Run begins 8:00am and the race begins 8:30am

Quakertown Farmer’s Market’s 23rd Halloween Costume Parade
Saturday, October 24th
Quakertown– The Quakertown Farmer’s Market presents its 23rd Annual Halloween Costume Parade and Contest . All categories will have a winner and a runner up, and the grand prize winner will receive $250 in Market Bucks! Trick or Treaters are also welcome starting at 1 pm to visit merchants to pick up treats.

Saturday, October 24th
The family-friendly one price admission per carload ($20) includes: THE PUMPKIN GALLERY, RADIO DISNEY SHOW, FOOD TRUCK PAVILION, YOUTH 2 COMMUNITY CONCERT, OUTDOOR MOVIE IN THE MEADOW, Trunk & Treat, & more! Come witness the imaginative artistry of the carvers as they magically transform these large pumpkins into glowing works of art between the archways of the Moravian Tile Works.

Family Halloween Witch Trial
Sunday, October 25th
Morrisville– Enjoy trick-or-treating, fall activities, and games during this free event at Pennsbury Manor from 1-4pm. Witch Trial: In 1684, Margaret Mattson was accused by her neighbors of witchcraft. William Penn presided over the trial. Is she guilty or innocent? There will be trick-or-treating, colonial games, cider pressing, and much more. Free admission!

Tour and Ghost Stories at the Pearl S. Buck House
Sunday, October 25th
Join the Pearl S. Bucks House, one of the most historic houses in Bucks County, for a night of candlelit tours and ghost stories, hayrides and refreshments. Attendees will experience authentic documented ghosts stories from the 68-acre national historic landmark, Green Hills Farm, including the tales of : Devil Harry, the nosy colonial maid; Mrs. Loris- the housekeeper; Magdalena- the deserted fiance; and others from Pearl S. Buck’s novels. Tickets for the event at $15. Tickets must be reserved in advance. Tours are on the hours at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm & 8pm. Appropriate for Middle School aged children up to adult. Includes freshly pressed apple cider and cookies. Registration required for non-members.

Lambertville Halloween Parade
Sunday, October 25th
Lambertville- Just across the bridge, join in on the fun and participate in one of New Jersey’s oldest Halloween Parades at the Lambertville Halloween Parade. The parade will assemble on York Street at 2:45 and begin promptly at 3pm.

It’s The Great Pumpkin: A Halloween Drag Spook-tacular
Tuesday, October 27th
Drag queens from near and far will descend upon the Bucks County Playhouse on October 27 for the “It’s The Great Pumpkin: A Halloween Drag Spook-tacular,” hosted the local icon Miss Pumpkin herself. The show will start at 7:30pm. Tickets are $15 for presale general admission, $25 general admission at the door, and $50 for cabaret seating, which includes a split of champagne and a Halloween mask.

Halloween Parade in Newtown
Wednesday, October 28th
The Halloween Parade begins at 1 pm and runs until 2:30. This event is for children ages 3-6 and they will be parading through all of Newtown’s departments. They children will Trick or Treat through the following departments: Police, Emergency Services, Public Works, Administration, Codes & Zoning, Parks & Recreation, and the Tax Office! Free Admission. Preregistration is required.

Mercer By Moonlight
Friday, October 30th
Doylestown- Discover the history and folklore of some of Mercer Museum’s more chilling or ghoulish objects at the Mercer by Moonlight Tour. Included are the museum’s hearse, gallows, “witch” doctor’s canes, brooms, and more. This is a family friendly event for ages 8 and up. Light refreshments will be served following the tour. Tours begin at 7pm and 8 pm and the fee is $14/$12 for members and $12/$8 for youths under 12. Reservations are required, call 215-348-9461

Eat, Drink & Be Scary
Friday, October 30th
Washington Crossing– Halloween isn’t just for the kids! Enjoy sweet treats, wine tasting, tarot card or palm readings and come in your best costume for a chance to win a prize ! Cost: $40 per person. Halloween Happening
Saturday, October 31st
Richboro– The 39th Annual Halloween Happening at the Recreation Center begins at 11am with costume registration and music by Cool Beans. The costume parade begins at noon with prizes given out for the top costumes in the following age groups: 2 and under, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, and a family group category. Following the parade enjoy treats, games, face painting, a fortuneteller, and more. Free treat bags will be given to the first 300 children age 12 and under.

Boo Bash at Oxford Valley Mall
Saturday, October 31st

Kidgits Minis – Halloween is a safe spook-tacular Halloween event designed for kids under 5, from 10:30am to 11:30am in Sears Court. Hosted by Kids' Music Round of Yardley.

Mall-O-Ween – 1pm to 3pm Come celebrate Halloween with mall wide trick or treating. Stop by Sears Court for event registration.

Ghost Tours of New Hope
Main St & Ferry St, New Hope
Fridays and Saturdays in September & October, 8:00pm
Follow a lantern-led “walk” along picturesque streets where you’ll learn about the doings of such places as the towpath itself; or see the phantom hitchhiker who may pass you in the moonlight; or see the historic inn where Aaron Burr appears from time to time and stares with sightless eyes…. Plus new exciting stories have been added to the tour! Cost is $10 per person.

Canal-O-Ween
Delaware Canal, N. Edgewater Ave, Yardley
October 25th – October 31st
Carving, lighting, and strolling by jack-o-lanterns since 2009! A week-long traditional-style Halloween lighting of jack-o-lanterns along the Delaware Canal. Bucks County residents can enjoy the beauty of the season within the natural setting of the Canal itself. The carve-a-thon is scheduled for Sunday October 25th from 12:00pm – 3:00pm.

Tour the Home of Lambertville
Just across the bridge in Lambertville, New Jersey, enjoy some free fun courtesy of festive homeowners! Walk down Union Street for the best views.

Trick-or-Treat and Haunted Train Rides
Thursdays – Sundays through October 30th
Bring the kids to ride aboard this spooky train. Children of all ages are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes, helping to make the train a scary sight. Afterwards, trick or treat around the New Hope train station for more surprises! Trick or Treat bags and assorted toys and candy will be given out onboard as well as at the station. All ages welcome!
