Doylestown Tree Lighting & Santa Coming to Town

Santa will first be seen riding from Central Bucks West in an old-fashioned fire truck, accompanied by the school's marching band. The school's choir will sing holiday songs to add to the festive mood. Santa will help with the countdown for the 100th annual tree lighting at 6:30pm. Santa will see every child at his house located on Hamilton and State Street. The house will remain open until Christmas Eve.

New Hope Tree Lighting Ceremony

Join New Hope for their annual tree lighting ceremony. This year's tree will feature simple white lights instead of the colorful musical show that displayed in New Hope for the past 3 years.  Choral music starts at 6 p.m. and Santa will arrive at 6:15, just in time to begin the countdown to tree lighting at 6:30 p.m.

Friday, November 28th at 5pm, tree lighting is at 7:00. followed by visits to Santa. The annual Christmas Parade takes place the following day, Saturday, November 29, at 1:00.
Historic Bristol Borough is gearing up for its annual riverside tree lighting ceremony which promises to be bigger and better than ever. Located at the juncture of Mill Street, the commercial center of town; Historic Radcliffe Street, and overlooking the the landmark Bristol Wharf, the 40 foot spruce tree, complete with over 7000 lights, will be the focal point of family festivities that include free tractor pulled “train” rides for the children, carolers, an ice skating demonstration, a DJ, a “Griswold” decorated storefront, hot chocolate, snacks, free glow sticks and more. The 100 block of Mill Street will be closed to traffic and converted into a visual Christmas wonderland.

String Bands, George Washington, Belgian Horses, Sponge Bob, Batman and all their friends. Watch and listen to Pennsbury’s Marching Band as they escort the one and only Santa Claus! The parade will kick off at the American Legion at 3:30 sharp and proceed down Main Street to the Friends Meeting House on North Main Street.

McCaffrey’s Food Market’s Holiday Parade in Newtown

The holiday parade, sponsored by the Newtown Business Association, is a family tradition!  It will begin on South State St at the Stocking Works building and continue through the Borough. The parade will feature the local high school marching bands, a Mummers band, floats, antique cars, fire trucks, Santa, and more. This year will also feature recognition for participants' efforts in making the parade terrific. Float categories include best theme, best decorated, and most creative. A hand-picked panel will be reviewing every participant in the parade and deciding on the best based on their presentation, creativity, and theme.

New Hope Holiday Decorating Contest & Party

The New Hope Business Alliance is holding a holiday decorating contest for all retail shops and eateries. The contest will be judged by residents Libby and Gordon Nieburg, New Hope Borough Administrative Assistant JoAnn Connell, and New Hope Borough Council President Claire Shaw. New Hope Business Alliance is inviting the entire business community and residents to their holiday party hosted by Havana, where hors d’ oeuvres will be served with a cash bar. The holiday party will also benefit the less fortunate with a toy drive for children in Doylestown Hospital, as well as a food drive for Fisherman’s Mark. Say organizers, “If you can bring an unwrapped toy or a non-perishable food item, it can help make someone’s Christmas much warmer.” The winner of the holiday decorating contest among local merchants will also be announced at the party, which will be held at Havana on Monday, Dec. 8 from 7 to 9 p.m.
