Held each October since 1991 in recognition of Red Ribbon Week, Pumpkinfest is the largest two-day drug and alcohol-free event of its kind in Pennsylvania. Pumpkinfest is a cooperative effort of The Council and Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation.

One of the main attractions at the event is the Pumpkin Gallery. Area artists carve giant, 100–300 pound pumpkin squash into spectacular creations. By Saturday night, the carved pumpkins are illuminated and on display. Those who attend Pumpkinfest have the opportunity to vote on their favorite pumpkin as part of the People’s Choice Awards, and a panel of judges presents awards.

Pumpkinfest has live entertainment including clowns, magicians, square dancers and musicians. There is also a petting zoo, hayride, and giant, inflated rides. There’s also plenty of funnel cakes, pumpkin pie, hot sandwiches, and other delicious foods.
