Bucks County’s Selfie Central

The “selfie”- those photos you love to hate but just can't seem to resist, offering a quick peak into the lives of friends, families, coworkers, and, oh yeah, that random girl from high school who friended you on Facebook.

Are they a bit indulgent? Perhaps. Unnecessary? Certainly. But, then, why can't we stop taking and looking at them?

The truth is that people love sharing. Whether jealously looking through photos of a friends' vacation, checking out what your coworkers are up to on the weekend, or snapping a photo of yourself enjoying that well deserved glass of wine after work, the selfie allows us to communicate in an extremely personal way.

Well, love them or hate them, today it was announced that the term “selfie” has officially been added into The Oxford English dictionary, defined as “a photograph taken of oneself using a phone”.
