Local band Rose's Cross takes the stage on Saturday night at Puck in Doylestown, featuring five musicians who have become a “band of brothers” through the bond of rock-n-roll. During the 3+ years of their musical evolution as a cover band, Rose’s Cross has crafted a catalogue of original music culminating in their breakaway declaration of intent with the tune, “Run From Cover”. While still incorporating a handful of favorite cover songs in their sets, Rose's Cross now delivers a collection of tight, edgy original music featuring dirty guitars with crunch, a driven back beat, and punctuating, motivated harmonies. This “Beatles meets Ramones” delivery has become their distinctive trademark, grabbing and holding the attention of their growing fan base. Rose’s Cross consists of: Guy Lee –Lead Guitar, Ron Dolan – Guitar/Vocals, Steve Van Scott – Guitar/ Vocals, Joe Brill – Bass Guitar/Vocals, and Herm Reiche – Drums. The band just released their 1st recorded single, “In A Daze”, and looks to release their 2nd single, “What’s With Jane”, in February 2012.

If you're depressed tgat the weekend is ending on Sunday, take in John Mayall, founder of the Bluesbreakers, at Sellersville Theater at either 4pm or 7:30pm. Formed in the early 1960s in London, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers are well known for cultivating new talent. Starting with Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce (formed Cream), followed by Peter Green, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood (started Fleetwood Mac), the perpetual succession of great musicians also featured Andy Fraser (co-founded Free), Mick Taylor (who joined The Stones) and Coco Montoya and Walter Trout (who’ve graced the Sellersville Theater stage).
