Timberdoodling
Peace Valley Nature Center, 170 North Chapman Road, Doylestown
6:00pm – 8:00pm

It’s time to view the amazing ritual of the American Woodcock. Male Woodcocks begin their spring ritual with a peculiar dance and then take to the air with a spectacular flight. Wear dark clothing and dress warmly as this may require some listening & waiting for this exciting event. Meet in the parking lot where we may then travel to other areas of the park. There is no fee but preregistration is needed.

Teen Reading Lounge
Free Library of New Hope & Solebury, 93 W Ferry St, New Hope
3:00pm – 5:00pm

Kick off the grand opening of the Teen Reading Lounge with a Maze Runner-themed kick-off party featuring activities and games based on the book. The program is open to middle and high school students. Interested tweens and teens can register online, over the phone (215.862.2330), or in person at the library. Teens who visit the library to pick up their free copy of The Maze Runner before the March 6 kick-off will get an important clue about an activity that will take place at the first meeting.

Shakespeare for Kids: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

This adaptation of William Shakespeare’s classic tale “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” follows the adventures of four young lovers, a fairy king and queen, a duke, some local actors, a mischievous elf, fairies and more, whose hopes are tested in a magical forest where reality and imagination combine to transform all who enter. Adapted and directed by Jim Banar, an entertaining introduction to the bard performed by young actors ages 6 to 16.

Charter Day at Pennsbury Manor
Pennsbury Manor, 400 Pennsbury Memorial Road, Morrisville
1:00pm – 4:00 pm

Come join us in celebrating the birthday of Pennsylvania. We'll be demonstrating colonial crafts and offering tours of the Manor House. Best of all, it's free! We will be hosting a food drive during Charter Day, so please bring along a non-perishable food item. Donations go to a local Bucks County Food Pantry.

National Theatre Life: Of Mice and Men
County Theater, 20 East State Street, Doylestown

County Theater will screen the Broadway revival, recorded live during its award-winning 2014 run. Starring James Franco and Chris O'Dowd, it's based on the best-selling novel, which Steinbeck adapted for the stage in 1937. Set in California during the Great Depression, the story follows two migrant workers: George, sharp but uneducated, and Lennie, large and simple- minded. When Lennie accidentally stirs up trouble, George must choose between his friend and his quest for the American dream. Tickets are $18 for general public and $16 for members.
