Step back in time as New Hope, PA is transformed into a medieval fantasy for one celebrated weekend, Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17, 2011.  The New Hope Fantasy Renaissance Faire will take place on Mechanic Street in the heart of New Hope starting at 11:00 am.  Sponsored by the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce, the free event will be even bigger than last year.  Jugglers, dancers, fire breathers, sword fighting, medieval blacksmithing, belly dancing, pirates, wenches, storytellers, craftsmen, costumed actors, a medieval drag show along with food & wine are the many activities planned for the Fantasy Renaissance Faire.  The event is free and will take place rain or shine.

Springtime means it’s time for new beginnings so it’s the perfect time to evaluate your family’s health.  This weekend, there are two fantastic ways to learn about simple and fun ways to live a healthier lifestyle. First, the Newtown Athletic Club hosts the Live Well Health and Fitness Fair for kids, teens, adults and seniors. There will be over 75 booths, exhibits and activities.

Then on Sunday, April 17th, the Central Bucks YMCA holds Healthy Kids & Family Day from noon to 3pm.  Stop in for free services & demonstrations, enjoy health refreshments, and participate in activities including a Family Walk and free community swim.
