Trenton Thunder Opening Day
Waterfront Park, 1 Thunder Road, Trenton, NJ
Starts at 7:05pm

The Trenton Thunder open up their 2012 season at Waterfront Park against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. For the first 2000 ticket holders to arrive will get opening night magnetic schedules. It's also Thirsty Thursday, which means a great beer special from gates open until the middle of the 5th inning!   Tickets start at $10. Chris Alan

Starts at 7:00pm

Both lover and fighter, Chris Alan has always had a deep passion for all music but has found his home, writing acoustic rock folk songs with touches of blues. A combination of mellow rhythmic guitar playing and soulful lyrics are evident throughout each song crafted. The first album written, “InnercoustiConnection” is an experimental album created in Jimmero Studios. This album is available now on itunes and amazon.

Doylestown First Friday
Doylestown

Come to First Friday Doylestown for fun, festive music, and entertainment! Merchants are open late to exhibit work from local artists and invite you to enjoy the sounds of local musicians. So bring your family and invite your friends. Follow the flags outside stores, restaurants, and businesses throughout town and discover a new side of Doylestown.

 

Book Release Party with Jonathan Maberry
The Doylestown Bookshop, 16 S Main St, Doylestown
7:00pm – 9:00pm

Local writing legend and multiple Bram Stoker Award-winning novelist Jonathan Maberry will be here on First Friday to celebrate an early release of his latest Joe Ledger novel Assassin's Code! The book is technically being released on April 10th, but it will be exclusively available to fans that come out to the signing on First Friday.

Storytime & Book Signing with Jim Kilmer
The Doylestown Bookshop, 16 S Main St, Doylestown
1:00pm – 2:00pm

Local author Jim Kilmer will be here on Saturday to read and sign his children's storybook Animal Dreams & Fantasies. This animal fiction book is written in rhyming verse for everyone four and older. There are nine funny stories waiting for laughter.

 

James Hunter
Sellersville Theater, 24 West Temple Ave, Sellersville
8:00pm – 10:00pm

Best known for the mega-hit “People Gonna Talk,” James’s passion for 50s and 60s American music permeates his soulful sound. It made him an overnight success in the US, although he’s been playing live in his native UK for twenty years. James and his skin-tight band supported the likes of Aretha Franklin, Boz Scaggs and Van Morrison and his mellifluous vibe can be heard on his latest CD “The Hard Way.”

Salem Resurrection Run and Sunrise Service
Peace Valley Park, Pavilion #5, 230 Creek Road, New Britain
Starts at 6:30am

Salem Church will sponsor a 5K/1 Mile Run/Walk on Easter morning to celebrate the resurrection.  Come for a sunrise service followed by the run/walk.  Pre-register at salemucc@attglobal.net or the day of the event. No entrance fee – Donations will be accepted  for “Back on my Feet” an organization that supports the homeless. Post run/walk refreshments provided by Salem Church.
