Into the Woods [opening night]

Join Jack in the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Rapunzel and a host of fairy tale favorites as they search for “happily ever after” in James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s fractured musical. Cursed by a witch with childlessness, the Baker and his wife embark on a quest for objects to break the spell: “A cow as white as milk; a cape as red as blood; a hair as yellow as corn; a slipper as pure as gold.” All get their wishes but soon discover moving lessons in responsibility that bring their happy endings crashing down around them.
Monthly Poetry Night

There will be specifically chosen poets scheduled to read at the start, followed by an opportunity to bring your own poetry for an open-mic setting. Shad Run 5k

Come for the 1st annual Shad 5k and 1 mile health walk. The Friends of Ely Park's mission is to transform Ely Memorial Park in Lambertville into a new and inviting centerpiece of community life, a destination for recreation, and a symbol of the city’s distinctive character. The project will also increase the safety of the streetscape along Route 29, the main transportation corridor through the city. With your help we will succeed. Midsummer Night's Dream

Showtimes are at 12:00pm and 4:00pm
Dance Theatre of Pennsylvania will present an encore performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Among the featured artists are Pennsylvania Ballet soloists Lauren Fadeley and James Ihde. With music by Felix Mendelssohn, the Shakespearian tale will feature the company’s 40 pre-professional members along with guest artists from the region’s top ballet companies. Also performing in the production are Jonathan Stiles, a member of the corps for the Pennsylvania Ballet, and Alex Peters and Eric Trope, apprentices for the company.
