Bucks Happening This Weekend: Happy Mother's Day! 2013

Upper Makefield Carnival
Route 32, Washington Crossing (across from post office)
6:00pm – 10:00pm

Every Day is Family Day, so ride all the rides for one low price. Make sure you stop by the Upper Makefield Firefighters Food Tent for some of the best food on the midway. The food served in the firefighters tent comes from local vendors such as Ely Pork Products & Agostino Meats, both located here in Bucks County. The proceeds from the Firefighters Food Tent goes 100% towards the Upper Makefield Fire Company.

Down the Rabbit Hole
Phillips' Mill Community Association, 2619 River Rd, New Hope
6:00pm (doors open)

Come Down the Rabbit Hole with the Phillips Mill Players and explore your inner madness! Join us through the looking glass for this uplifting, cabaret-style show full of music and mayhem. The topsy-turvy, kaleidoscopic story lines will take you from reality to the surreal while the cast rollicks in pure goofiness as they endeavor to put on a show! Seating is cabaret style and this is a B.Y.O.B. event. Hors d'oeuvres will be available. Tickets are $25.00 per person.

David Steinberg: Might Be Something Big… Might Not
Bucks County Playhouse, 70 S. Main St, New Hope
7:30pm

Comedian David Steinberg whom The New York Times called “a comic institution all by himself,” performs for two nights only at the Bucks County Playhouse. Following his recent sold-out shows at the prestigious La Jolla Playhouse, Steinberg will be work-shopping these two exclusive performances entitled, “David Steinberg: Might Be Something Big…Might Not.” Tickets range from $36 to $48 per ticket.

The Pro Gymnastics Challenge
Lehigh University's Stabler Arena, 124 Goodman Dr, Bethlehem
7:00pm

Lehigh University’s Stabler Arena will be the first stop of a truly unique international sporting event in 2013, the first Pro Gymnastics Challenge, happening on May 10th and 11th. The event, which will feature some of the greatest current and future male and female gymnasts, will be held in a USA vs. The World team format, but with a very unique twist, with the competitors doing a “skill vs. skill” challenge with men competing against women for points and prize money.

3rd Annual Washington Crossing Brewfest
Washington Crossing Historic Park, Upper Makefield
12:30pm – 4:30pm

Join Washington Crossing as they celebrate their third annual brewfest, which sells out each year. Attendees will get to try beer sampling from more than 60 national and regional breweries, listen to live bands, and eat delicious food. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Washington Crossing Park. General admission is $40 while designated driver admission is $10.

Roll The Dice for Kids Castle
Keenan Motors Mercedes Benz, 4311 W. Swamp Rd, Doylestown
7:00pm – 11:00pm

The community is rallying to save one of Bucks County’s favorite Family Outing locations! Tickets will be $75 at the door. Tickets include an open bar for beer/wine, hors d'oeuvres, DJ dancing, and $100 in casino cash. Attendees must be 21 years or older.
