The California Guitar Trio is Paul Richards of Salt Lake City, Bert Lams of Belgium and Hideyo Moriya of Japan. Although first meeting in England in ‘87 while studying with iconic Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp and toured as part of Fripp’s League of Crafty Guitarists, the three convened in L.A. They released 14 CDs and served as the soundtrack for Olympics coverage plus programs on CNN, CBS, NBC and ESPN. The trio also have fans in high places… NASA used their music to wake the crew aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Their technical wizardry is breathtaking, as they perform everything from unique originals to dazzling, cleverly arranged interpretations of jazz, classical and even surf rock.

Grand Opening of Noah’s Playground
Veteran’s Park, 234 Durham Road, Newtown
11:00am – 2:00pm

Join in for the ribbon cutting for the opening of “Noah’s Playground” in Newtown, PA, which will honor 2-month-old Noah Cohen, who passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) in 2010. Parents Natalie and Jason Cohen raised over $55,000 in five years with community yardsales, lemonade stands, and other fundraisers. The remaining balance was provided by Newtown’s Open Space bond allocation. Special features of the playground include an inclusive design and a rubberized surface. In addition to the ribbon cutting, there will be several activities for children: a magic show, face painting, and balloon artists. Food options include hot dogs, cookies, soft pretzels and hot chocolate.
