5th Annual New Hope Film Festival
Various locations
July 25th – August 3rd

The Annual New Hope Film Festiva is back for its fifth year andl runs with official selections from 16 countries. Tickets are $12 for patrons, $10 for students, $10 for seniors (65+) and $6 for matinees. Filmmakers from around the country and abroad will attend the screenings. There will be question and answer sessions after the screenings with opportunities to meet filmmakers.

Shrek the Musical

In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre – not a handsome prince – shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won't shut up, a bad guy with a SHORT temper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand…and his name is Shrek. Tickets are $20 per person.

Yoga in the Park
Tyler State Park, 101 Swamp Rd, Newtown

Take time to relax and unwind both your body and mind. This class is a lave 1/2 Hatha yoga class and perfect for beginners or experienced Yogis. The cost is $12 per person with a portion donated to Tyler State Park. Please bring a mat, reusable water bottle, and a towel. Be sure to arrive with enough time to sign-in and set yourself up.

With founding member Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh at the helm for nearly 30 years, Altan is one of the most important bands playing traditional Irish music. Their upcoming tour with a new studio release and special program commemorates the life and music of one of its founding members, Frankie Kennedy. Tickets are $29.50 to $45.

5th Annual New Hope Automobile Show Road Rally
New Hope-Solebury High School, 182 W. Bridge St, New Hope
10:00am

Enjoy the beauty of Bucks County while in the heat of competition! For this road rally, each participant follows the route by answering a set of questions. There will be first, second, third and even last place trophies for drivers, based on how many questions they do – or don’t – answer correctly. Cost is $25 per car.

Off the Beaten Path – Roadside Delights of the 50's & 60's
Mercer Museum, 84 S. Pine St, Doylestown
2:00pm

Postcard collector, Kate Mellina, presents a tour of some of mid-century America's oddest roadside attractions. After the program, visit the Mercer's latest exhibit, “America's Road: The Journey of Route 66.” Both the program and lecture are included with museum admission. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $6 for youth.
