On Sunday, May 6 at 3 p.m., the Quartet will perform Bob Mintzer’s thrilling “Rhythm of the Americas” at a free concert with the 65-member Delaware Valley College Concert Band in the Moumgis Auditorium on the Delaware College campus. The composition was inspired by the composer’s life as a young musician growing up in the New York area, specifically his experience playing with Latin bands, big bands, symphony orchestras, pop and R & B bands.

We have Yards Brewing Company on-site to tap a bunch of their beers including some limited rarities! Confirmed to date, we will be having Bourbon Barrel-Aged George Washington Tavern Porter (~7%), Bourbon Barrel-Aged Love Stout (~5%), Love Stout (5%), Bourbon Barrel-Aged Olde Bartholomew (~10.3%), and Trubbel De Yards (9%). Plus maybe a few other late additions!

10:00am – 11:30am

Master puppeteer Jim West returns to delight us with classical music, puppet construction and facts about dinosaurs in an engaging and funny performance for children age 4-12. The show breaks down into four parts: Building a Tyrannosaurus Rex; a shadow tale about the Overaptor; a story of a little Brachiosaurus; the finale, with the construction of a huge Apatosaurus – all performed with soaring classical music as background. In-between the sections, our host, Fossil, a small blue dinosaur puppet, interacts with Jim as he searches for his identity and new dino facts.

6:00pm – 9:30pm

Come out to support the Bucks County Audubon Society at Honey Hollow! The winery will offer appetizers at 6:00pm, followed by a meet and greet with Lucy Kaplansky from 7:00-7:30pm. Lucy will then take the stage at 8:00pm! She started out singing in Chicago bars. Then, barely out of high school, Lucy Kaplansky took off for New York City. There she found a fertile community of songwriters and performers – Suzanne Vega, John Gorka, Bill Morrissey, Cliff Eberhardt, and others – where she fit right in.

As a part of Solebury School's first annual Music Festival, the very talented singer/songwriter Bess Rogers will be performing. Tickets are $10.00.

Bess Rogers is a Brooklyn-based indie artist who tours with and sings backup/plays guitar for indie-pop artist Ingrid Michaelson. Her music has been featured on the popular television shows, “Pretty Little Liars” and “One Tree Hill”. Her latest album, “Out Of The Ocean” (released in October 2011) received fantastic reviews! Check her out!

Join us as we celebrate the many ways our Y gives back to our community by running for a cause. Whether you’re inspired by our 7th grade initiative that welcomes all area students to engage in fun and responsible activities or our soon-to-launch cancer wellness program or our commitment to family time together – come be a part of something great! We’ll be running and walking for a cause, kicking off our annual Community Support Campaign and we’d love to see you there!
