Are you in the holiday spirit? There are so many events to get you feeling festive in Bucks County, so we're highlighting just a few of our favorites each weekend. Charles Dickens Night Langhorne Borough

When: Friday, December 7 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Where: 102 S. Bellevue Avenue, Langhorne

The Langhorne community will come together to celebrate the holiday season with music, hot chocolate, treats and more. Santa will arrive at 7:30 p.m. to light the tree!

“A Christmas Carol” at Byer’s Choice

When: December 7 at 7 p.m., December 8 at 1 p.m.and 5:30 p.m.

Where: 4355 County Line Road, Chalfont

Stop by the Christmas Capitol of Bucks County, Byers’ Choice! Explore the store to find handcrafted holiday delights, including gingerbread houses and advent calendars. Celebrate the season with a special one-man-performance of “A Christmas Carol.” Gerald Dickens, great-great grandson of Charles Dickens, will take on all twenty-six parts of this unforgettable tale.

Jingle Fest Neshaminy Mall

When: Saturday, December 8 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Where: 707 Neshaminy Mall, Bensalem

If you weren’t already headed to the mall this Saturday to do some holiday shopping, you’ll want to bring the family to the AMC Wing to check out the holiday fun! There will be visits from characters from Sing Along Princess Parties, moonbounces, balloon art, face painting, vendors and more. Visit at 2 p.m. for Story Time with Moana, 3 p.m. for Christmas carols and ornament making with Mrs. Claus and at 6 p.m. for A Very Merry Christmas Magic Show.

Doylestown House Tour & Bake Sale

A Victorian Christmas at Parry Mansion

When: December 8 and December 9 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: 45 South Main Street, New Hope

Celebrate Christmas the way they did in the 1800’s. Stop by to tour the home of Benjamin Parry, the Father of New Hope. Discover Christmas traditions from the Victorian era, sing carols, and sample some authentic food.

Washington Crossing Reenactment

When: December 9, 2018 – 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (actual crossing at 1 p.m.) – $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 5-11, free for children younger than 5
Where: Washington Crossing Historic Park, 1112 River Road, Washington Crossing

Every December, the Friends of Washington Crossing Park organize the reenactment of the Christmas Crossing, when George Washington and his men crossed the Delaware on Christmas Day. Come and see authentically dressed military reenactors as they row across the river in replica Durham boats to celebrate our nation’s history. Be sure to arrive early to get a good viewing space along the water! In addition to the crossing reenactment, special colonial-era activities and demonstrations in the Historic Village will offer a full day of family fun and learning.

Holiday Festivities at Fonthill Castle

When: Sunday, December 9 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: 525 E. Court Street, Doylestown

Sip hot cider and enjoy Fonthill Castle’s holiday decorations during their ground-floor open house. At the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, enjoy hot chocolate, holiday music and a visit with Santa. Free admission.

Santa at Charlann Farms

When: Saturday, December 8 and Sunday, December 9 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: 586 Stonyhill Road, Yardley

Santa will arrive at the farm riding a John Deere tractor! Bring your camera to this free event. There will also be a food truck with coffee, hot chocolate, hot dogs and other goodies.

Santa’s Workshop at Buttonwood Park

When: Saturdays, December 8 and 15 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: The gazebo at Buttonwood Park, Yardley

Santa’s Workshop gives kids and adults alike a great photo-op with the jolly couple: Santa & Mrs. Claus! Fun activities for kids like making Reindeer Chow! Bring your camera and your holiday spirit to the gazebo at Buttonwood Park. It has been transformed for the season into a festive, heated workshop where Santa will listen to your holiday wishes. Be sure to pick up coupons for local pizza. This free event is organized by The Yardley Business Association, supported by local YBA business members, and sponsored by ShopRite of Yardley.
