Welcome, 2019! Just because the holidays are over doesn't mean the fun needs to end. Here are our picks for events in Bucks County from January 4 to January 6. And if you're still hanging onto the Christmas magic, this is the FINAL weekend for several attractions including the lights and gingerbread display at Peddler's Village, the light show at Shady Brook Farm, and A Longwood Christmas at Longwood Gardens. January’s Family Fun Friday at Neshaminy Mall
When: Friday, January 4 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: 707 Neshaminy Mall, Bensalem
The theme for this month’s event is Wild About Animals! There will be moonbounces in front of the AMC Theater (bounce all night for $5). Other entertainment includes balloon art, face painting, costumed characters, vendors and more. Be sure to check out the free live animal program in the Barnes & Noble Court at 6:30.
New Year Family Fun Night at LMT Community Center
When: Friday, January 4 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: 1550 Oxford Valley Road, Morrisville (around the corner from the Township Building)
Still have some celebrating in you? Celebrate the New Year at the Community Center with a party, activities, music and a countdown at 9 p.m. This kid-friendly event is free to the community. Food will be available for purchase.
Lights, Camera, Acting: Charlotte’s Web
When: Saturday January 5 at 11 a.m.
Where: 944 Town Center, New Britain
Join LCA’s Teen Performing Troupe in their whimsical production of this classic children’s novel. This heart-warming play is perfect for children of all ages and teaches audiences to celebrate life, appreciate diversity, and to show compassion. Tickets are $5. Purchase tickets here. FREE Electronics Recycling Event
When: Saturday, January 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Falls Township Community Park, 9125 Millcreek Road, Levittown (Enter from Millcreek Road)
Have new holiday gifts left you with old electronics you’d like to clear out? Bring your computers, monitors, TVs, keyboards, printers, fax machines, cell phones, video game consoles and more. Items not accepted: Smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, refrigerators, CDs, DVDs and VHS tapes.
Wine and Chocolate Pairing Class at Crossing Vineyards
When: Sunday, January 6 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 1853 Wrightstown Road, Washington Crossing
Enjoy a sweet afternoon with tips on how to pair chocolate and wine. Class includes a tour, instruction, wine tasting and an assortment of Pierre’s Chocolates. Tickets are $35 per person. Get tickets here.
