Newtown Live Presents: The Beatles
When: Friday, October 12 from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Newtown Theatre, 120 N. State Street, Newtown, PA 18940
The Newtown Theatre is kicking off a new monthly music series this Friday night. This month’s show features three local musicians (Matt Dorsey, Greg McGarvey and Will Rhodin) performing covers of popular songs by The Beatles. The show is October 12 from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $10. Click here for more information.
Peddler’s Village October Feast
When: Saturday and Sunday, October 13 and 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Peddler’s Village, Routes 202 and 263, Lahaska, PA 18931
The Village’s version of Oktoberfest puts an emphasis on the FOOD. The Cock ‘N Bull food tent will be serving German favorites including frankfurters, bratwurst, weisswurst and waffle fries, soft pretzels and more. The Flying Pie Guy food truck will offer authentic meat pies. And DonutNV food truck will have cinnamon apple donuts for dessert. A Wine & Spirits Garden will feature Chaddsford Winery and Hewn Spirits. And, of course, there will be German beers available from Free Will Brewing Co and Earl’s New American.
Enjoy traditional polkas, waltzes and marches! The Philadelphia German Brass Band is performing both days from noon to 4 p.m. Guests 14 and up can also try their hand at axe throwing! Lastly, Peddler’s Village also has more than 200 scarecrows on display until October 28.
“Beer on the Farm” Fall Fest
When: Sunday, October 14 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Hidden Valley Farm, 2955 Wilkinson Road, Jamison, PA 18929
Levante Brewing and Bernie’s Restaurant& Bar have teamed up to sponsor a day of beer, food and fun. While the focus of the event may be the beer, this is a family-friendly event. There will be live music, games, hayrides, pumpkin painting and more. Tickets start at $8. Guests under 21 are free. Click here to buy tickets.
