Have you considered a career in healthcare, but the cost of tuition has held you back?
Bucks County Community College is partnering with PA CareerLink to offer free healthcare training for unemployed local residents. Information sessions about the healthcare certificate programs will take place July 17, 18, and 25.
Bucks County Community College, in partnership with PA CareerLink, is seeking unemployed or underemployed Bucks County residents to apply for a healthcare certificate program. Training is free for those who meet eligibility requirements.
PA CareerLink will determine if applicants qualify for free tuition. Programs offered include Dental Assisting, EKG Technician Hybrid, Nurse Aide Certification and Pharmacy Technician. In most cases, students will be able to complete certificate programs in less than six months.
Attend a free information session about these opportunities at 1 p.m. on the following dates and locations:
- Wednesday, July 17 – Founders Hall room 009, BCCC Newtown Campus, 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown, Pa.
- Thursday, July 18 – PA CareerLink, 1260 Veterans Highway, Bristol, Pa.
- Thursday, July 25 – South Building Room 257, BCCC Upper Bucks Campus, One Hillendale Rd., Perkasie, Pa.
Students must be at least 18 years old; have either a high school diploma or GED (with exception for Nurse Aide); and must be a U.S. Citizen or possess a Green Card.
