Mame

The season will kick off with one of Broadway's biggest stars: Philadelphia's own, Andrea McArdle starring in the acclaimed Jerry Herman classic, Mame. Set in New York and spanning the Great Depression and World War II, the musical focuses on an eccentric bohemian, Mame Dennis, whose fabulous life with her wealthy friends is interrupted when the young son of her late brother arrives to live with her.

Inherit the Wind
Bristol Riverside Theater, 120 Radcliffe St, Bristol
7:30pm

Tension between creationism and evolution come to a head in this riveting courtroom drama that has been hailed as an American classic. Inherit the Wind brings the controversial Scopes Monkey Trial to life as two lawyers battle during the hot summer of 1925 in Tennessee. Neither religion nor science are on trial at the core of this dynamic drama, but the very freedom to think independently and develop intellectual opinions. You won’t want to miss the controversy when they fight to defend their deepest held beliefs.

New Hope & Lambertville are kicking of their third season of Friday Night Fireworks on Memorial Day Weekend! Head over on to see the spectacular show.

Tabor Days Carnival
Tabor Children's Services, Main St & New Britain Rd, Doylestown
6:00pm – 10:00pm

Tabor Children's Services will again hold its annual fundraiser, Tabor Days, on the park-like grounds of the agency's South Main Street, Doylestown, campus. This fabulous family fun celebration will have amusement rides and games for the enjoyment of children, teenagers and the young at heart. By the weekend the campus also will feature a flowering plant sale, raffle baskets, a bake sale and festival foods. The objective is to raise funds for Tabor's work with abused and neglected children. Admission is free but there will be a cost for rides.

The Doylestown 5k
Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 225 E. Ashland Ave, Doylestown
9:00am

The Doylestown 5K through downtown Doylestown has always been the biggest of the series races. Crowd support is always at a high level during the race. There will be a “Show your Spirit” contest for the neighbors and houses on the course. In addition, cowbells will be distributed to the cheering crowd. Finally, the Jerry Watkins band will provide entertainment during the award ceremony at Star Park, located behind Puck. Parking suggestions: Church parking lot will be closed at 8:30 am. Park free at the parking garage located at 228 N. Broad St. or library lot on 150 S. Pine Street.

The Dark Side… Shade Gardening

Join the Good Time Motorvators for one of their two car shows of the year. All custom, classic, and antique cars welcome.

1:00pm – 4:00pm

Enjoy the delight in the sights and smells of the summer garden as the gardeners describe their work. Cost is $9 for adults, $7 for senior citizens, and $5 for youth between the ages of 3 to 11 years old.
