New Christy Minstrels Featuring Randy Sparks & Barry McGuire

Sellersville Theater, 24 W. Temple Ave, Sellersville

Under the direction of founder and leader Randy Sparks, The New Christy Minstrels will be joined by Barry MgGuire, who hit number one with the 1960's anthem “Eve of Destruction.” NCM favorites include “Green, Green,” “Ramblin',” “Saturday Night,” and their classic “Today.” They've been performing for over 50 years and bringing their signature vocal harmony folk pop to audiences around the world. Their national debut was made on The Andy Williams Show in the fall of 1962 and they went on to win a Grammy and many gold records.

Bucks County Bluegrass Festival

Snipes Farm, 890 W. Bridge St, Morrisville

Bluegrass is back in Bucks with the annual Bucks County Bluegrass Festival. This year's headliner is none other than NJ's extraordinary banjoist and internationally known bluegrass musician, Tony Tischka. Other performers include HogMaw, Free Grass Union, and more. This festival is family friendly, and attendees should bring a blanket and beach chairs.

Community Water Safety Day
Centeral Bucks Family YMCA, 2500 Lower State Rd, Doylestown
classes starting at 9:00am [children 3-5 years old] or 4:45pm [children 6-12 years old]

Join the Central Bucks Family YMCA throughout the day when aquatics instructions will work hand-in-hand with families and children to provide tools, resources, and tips to help overcome their fear of water and become water-wise. This is free for the community.

22nd Annual Doylestown Arts Festival
Downtown Doylestown
10:00am (also Sunday, September 8th)

Don't miss the largest outdoor, juried arts and crafts show in the Doylestown area! Drawing in thousands annually for a weekend of original arts and crafts, live entertainment, and diverse food. The two-day festival features over 150 artisans showcasing their creative works. A variety of dining options are available at the festival's Food Court.

NGA'S 1ST Annual 5k Walk/Run
Warminster Community Park, 300 Veterans Way, Warminster

Race to help those in need! Needlework Guild of America is a non-profit based in Warminster that provides new clothes, linens, and personal care items to those in need. Same day registrations are welcomed.

Enjoy an evening with the Southampton Chamber Music Society. This is a free concert.

Kids Get Active Day
Philadelphia Sports Clubs at Highpoint, 1 Highpoint Drive, Chalfont
2:00pm –  4:00pm

Participate in a day of fun and free activities to keep children moving this school year. Children can sample swim, tennis, dance, gymnastics, and karate. Laser tag, moon bounce, and spin art will also be available. There will also be family recreational swim available from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. Pre-registration is recommended.
