Sometimes good ideas just keep getting better. That’s what has happened with the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce and its annual Expo turned business experience. More than just another business showcase, this year’s event is also a job fair and open opportunity for retail businesses and multi-level marketing companies to market, sell and search out new employees.

The Business Experience will be held on Wed., May 9 from 2 – 7 pm in the Student Center Exhibition Hall of Delaware Valley University. Business will not only be connecting with attendees and talking about their services, but products will also be available for purchase. Those companies looking for additional employees will be actively marketing those opportunities and talking with potential candidates.

Events

Start the day early with a special presentation by former FBI Special Agent Jin Kim who specializes in Active Shooter and Workplace Violence Resiliency Training and Management. Kim is widely recognized as a subject matter expert in active shooter and targeted violence attacks. He is also the founder and principal of the PerSec Academy, LLC. Space is limited, so register in advance for this free presentation. To reserve your spot, call the Chamber at (215) 348-3913.

Also, during the afternoon there will be lots of freebies. Mark Margraff of M Studios will be offering free professional head shots on a first come first serve basis. In the Small Business area, organizations will offer advising services free of charge. Get help from organizations like the Small Business Association (SBA), SCORE and the Chamber's Free Entrepreneurial Assistance program. To keep you energized companies will be serving up free water ice (Annie’s Water Ice), coffee (Tru-Brew) and finger foods from Applebee’s.

Networking

The fun and networking opportunities keep going strong after normal business hours with a business card exchange from 5 – 7 pm. This is a great time to connect face to face with area business leaders. Discover new leads or perhaps find someone who can solve a problem for you. Enjoy complimentary food from Chambers 19 Bistro & Bar and wine courtesy of Buckingham Valley Vineyards throughout the evening.

The event is free but please register online at the Chamber's website or by clicking here. Delaware Valley University is located just off Route 202 in Doylestown, PA.
