We all know that Isaac Newton's has an unbeatable beer list, but what about cocktails? The popular Newtown bar and eatery is stepping up their cocktail game with new house oak barrel aged cocktails. New cocktails will constantly be rotating, but here's a sample of these debut Summer Cocktail Menu:
Jacob’s Ghost Oak Aged Manhattan
Jim Beam Jacob’s Ghost White Whiskey, Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth and Angostura bitters all aged in house in oak barrels
Scofflaw Cocktail
In-house barrel aged Makers Mark 46 Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey, Dry Vermouth, Cherry and Orange Bitters with a splash of club
Smooth and Easy
Jameson Select Reserve Black Barrel, simple syrup, gingerale and fresh lime served on the rocks
In addition to their barrel-aged series, Isaac's also crafted specialty cocktails on the sweeter side, including:
Espresso Martini
Avion Silver Tequila and dark roasted Italian espresso chilled and shaken. Or make it a latte – add Baileys or RumChata
Champagne Germaine
St. Germaine Elderflower liqueur, Champagne, Club soda and a splash of Peach liqueur served on the rocks with a twist of lemon
Citron Shandy
Club soda with Absolut Citron, lemonade, and Allagash served on the rocks and garnished with a lemon slice.
Mandi Shandy
Club soda with Absolut Mandrin, orange juice, and Allagash served on the rocks and garnished with an orange slice.
Along with their new specialty cocktails, Isaac's also introduced their seasonal summer menu on July 1, 2015 including creative dishes like their homemade egg rolls -sauteed spinach, roastpork, sharp provolone, and Sriracha- and artisan cheese dip – homemade boursin cheese topped with a bacon peach compote and served with grilled toast points and cripsy pita.
Of course, locals can still rely on Isaac's for a tasty burger. The summer menu includes an 8 oz specialty burger topped with roasted poblanos, cream cheese and salsa verde.
Whether you are in the mood for a classic burger and IPA or an innovative cocktail paired with artisan cheese dip, Isaac's has something for you on their summer menu.
