The Newtown Athletic Club (NAC), located in Newtown, PA is sponsoring Fitness in the Field, a series of FREE & fun workout classes for the community every Thursday night, to kick off ‘Elevate Newtown’. An initiative created by the NAC, ‘Elevate Newtown’, will help fulfill the NAC’s mission to “make lives better” & help create a healthier community, expanding outside their club walls. ‘Elevate Newtown’ will provide FREE wellness programs to local companies this fall as well as outcome-based onsite health intervention programs.
Fitness in the Field located at the NAC’s outdoor pool complex field- near the new basketball courts and playground- will be held every Thursday beginning the 9th of August through September at 6:00 PM. This will be a weekly summer social series that includes a 45-minute outdoor workout followed by free access to Escape, the NAC’s resort-style restaurant, bar & pool complex. Workouts will include bodyweight boot camps, Zumba, bar-less barre, yoga, mat Pilates & more. “Bring a friend and enjoy a variety of exercise programs coached by the NAC’s top trainers and then have fun sliding down one of our 30 ft slides or relax in the hot tub. It’s the perfect way to end your day. With a happy, yet, healthy happy hour”, said Kate Golden, Director of Wellness & Fitness Operations. The weekly workout is open to both members of the NAC and the surrounding community, for ages 16+.
“The NAC is committed to being a leader in the industry, offering cutting-edge fitness and wellness programs to our members and the community in which our members live and work. This is just the start of a huge initiative for the NAC. Our 6,000 square foot wellness center and corporate wellness offerings launching this fall will provide a collaborative approach to the way our community engages in and improves their health”, said Golden.
