Representatives from the Cornerstone Clubs recently presented a check for $15,416.23 to The Friends of The Heart Institute of Doylestown Hospital to help further enhance the high-quality cardiac care that is provided to our community.

Funds were raised during the recent 5K race hosted by Cornerstone Clubs. With 494 runners and more than 50 walkers participating, it was a record turn out for Cornerstone. More than 60 volunteers helped with the event, the fourth race in the Bucks 5K Series. Organizers wish to thank the race title sponsors, including the Ted Lindeman Foundation, MRops and Spring Dance Hot Tubs, for helping to make the event a success.

The proceeds will benefit the Friends of The Heart Institute of Doylestown Hospital. The mission of this all-volunteer group is to raise financial support for the full range of hospital-based cardiac programs and services. The Friends purchase state-of-the-art medical and surgical equipment for The Richard A. Reif Heart Institute of Doylestown Hospital. The group hosts special fundraising events and disseminates information to patients.
