Barry Peters & Mike Rubillo of Doylestown

Talk about determination.  Every morning, Michael Rubillo and Barry Peters get up at 4AM to cycle.  Each morning, Rubillo and Peters cycle more miles than most people walk, run or cycle in a month. It's tough, but also rewarding.  But the men have a special source of motivation.  Rubillo and Peters, otherwise known as “Cycle PA 2010,”  will be cycling from one end Pennsylvania to the other in just a few short weeks.  They depart from Bull Island on the Delaware River on July 3rd and ride to West Alexander. They expect to complete their journey on July 7th. “I have lived in Pennsylvania my entire life and can't think of a better place to live.  I look forward to the scenery and challenge of cycling across this state,” says Michael Rubillo of The Catalyze Group, a Doylestown-based technology firm.  “I am delighted to raise money for a charity that I believe in and have supported for years while doing something I love.  Being able to share this adventure with my father and a close friend only add to the value of journey in my heart and mind.”

Rubillo’s father will ride in the car alongside Rubillo and Peters for the duration of the ride. In fact, the idea to cycle across PA began as a father-son bonding project.  When Peters joined and they had the idea to raise money for charity, the men found a new source of motivation for their rigorous training.

“I am incredibly excited about participating in Cycle PA 2010! I have long searched for the time and the cause to give back to the community,” says Barry Peters, an executive in the customer service industry (Telerx Marketing) and self-described gadget-o-phile, “A charitable cause and cycling provide the cause and the vehicle to complete this search. I thank all who have already supported our effort and those reading this that I know will find it in their hearts to help.”
