So here I am, no longer single and now writing to you from “the other side.” Yes, the inevitable has happened- I am now in a 100% committed relationship: DON DON DON!  I have been with this stud for only two months and we have done so much together in such a short amount of time. So far we have traveled to Maryland, Rhode Island, Providence, Delaware, Virginia and even spent a day hiking the beautiful Rickett's Glen. He's the adventurous kind, and I just love that about him. He's nice, caring, thoughtful, funny and his favorite food is Mexican.

One great thing we do have in common is our love for photography. We both shoot weddings professionally and just a few weeks ago I had a wedding booked in Virginia and needed a second shooter. He offered to drive his car with me, shoot the wedding with me and attend to anything I needed during the big day. I was so grateful to have him there to experience a profession we both love and also be together working side by side. I really couldn't imagine a more perfect scenario. Seriously, what more could a girl ask for?!

On the other hand, I will admit that I did have some fun times being single. Instead of sulking in my room wondering where “Prince Charming” was, I got up, got out, and ventured my surroundings. Having that time to  learn about myself and become comfortable in my own skin was a key step in finding a healthy relationship. Now I can share my days with a wonderful man. Sappy, I know!

To be quite honest, looking back at my past relationships, they were often difficult and felt unnatural. It's refreshing to be with someone that becomes your best friend.  It's funny to think just a year ago my heart was broken in two by a boy who I really liked (who eventually one day just stopped liking me and that was the end of it), and so I had this crazy cool idea of starting a blog and going on Match.com dates to share my embarrassingly horrible stories publicly. Writing about the experiences was not only liberating for me, but struck a chord with readers. I've got to say, it is amazing how far one can change in just a year's time, and I am so grateful to have experienced all those bad dates just so I could finally reach the perfect one.

Now that you know a little more about my journey & relationship, I look forward to sharing a new perspective with readers. Stay tuned for future dating adventures and lessons in love.

Yours Truly, The Dating Diva
