The wait is over! Doylestown Brewing Company, which launched in 2012 with beers brewed off-premise, officially opened its doors on May 8th. Located at 22 S. Main Street in the heart of Doylestown, the bar and restaurant are open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner, serving a rotating craft beer brewed on premise, wines and pub food.

Doylestown Brewing Company is partnering with the Pa Soup and Seafood House to offer both food and drinks under the same roof. Brewing tanks will be visible from the restaurant, explained owner Joe Modestine.

Additionally, the brewing company plans to open a tasting room in the lower level of the Marketplace. Food, including appetizers and small plates, will be available downstairs and will be prepared by Soup and Seafood chefs.

While years of work went into this opening, one could say that the business has been in the making for generations. Owner Joe Modestine's grandfather opened up the family’s first beer distributer in Norristown in 1948. Then in 1976, his father opened the doors to the Saloon Restaurant in Jeffersonville PA which soon became a staple in the community.

Some of the opening taps, created by Head Brewer Justin Low who was the former head brewer at Dock St Brewing in Philly, includes Bikeworks Boneshaker Bourbon Porter, Cinni'ster Stout, Union Street IPA, R5 Lager, and Flying Squirrel IPA.
