Hair is more than an occupation for Doylestown's Elizabeth Benke. It's an art form. A science. National hair color educator Elizabeth Benke has been leading Doylestown's talented team of talented stylists at EB Salon since 1998.

Liz's passion for her job is a driving force behind EB Salon's 17 years of success, “To have a job that allows you to be creative and analytical at the same time spoke to both sides of my personality, and the fact that it impacted people and the way they see themselves made it very rewarding.”

Over the years, Liz has collected many memorable EB Salon moments- the color correction that took all day to do but brought the client to tears of joy; the cut-a-thon fundraiser for the SPCA. Perhaps the greatest reward, though, has been the special relationships forged over the years with clients who first came to EB Salon at 18 years old and today are inviting their dedicated stylists to their weddings and the Christenings of their children.

So what does it take to stand out from the pack in a competitive location like Doylestown?

“It's really about our clients everyday. The inspiration that we draw from them,” explains Liz.

Through constant education with the most premiere companies and individuals, such as, Vidal Sassoon, Bumble and Bumble, and Nick Arrojo, EB Salon stylists bring the most current, cutting edge fashion home to Doylestown.

“Our clients have such high standards that it pushes us everyday to be better, to continue to seek out trends to bring back for them and to always be at the top of our game. They keep us on track and growing in our craft, which is everything in this industry.”

Hair color services is led by owner Liz Benke while haircutting is led by Artistic Director Gina Reed. Their training program ensures that EB Salon's stylists are constantly pushing themselves forward- whether improving technical ability, pencil drawing to understand light and shadow, or playing with hair swatches to gain a deeper understanding of color and tones.
