On Friday, June 7, more than 200 guests attended Bucks County Community College‘s “Tyler Taste of Summer – Crab Fest.” The festive, summertime event was a fresh take on the 31st annual fundraiser formerly known as the Tyler Tasting Party. Attendees enjoyed cocktails in the formal gardens below Tyler Hall, the 89-year-old mansion that’s on the National Register of Historic Places, then sat down to a crab bake and chicken barbecue in the nearby event tent. The Beach Boys tribute band Still Surfin’ provided entertainment. The Bucks County Community College Foundation said the event raised $25,000 for student scholarships, the historic preservation of Tyler Hall and its formal gardens, and other campus initiatives.
