Two of America’s Oldest Bring Guitar Event to Bucks County

Bucks County Folk Music Shop, the oldest acoustic stringed instrument store in America with the same owner/operator, and C.F. Martin & Company, Inc., the oldest surviving maker of guitars in the world are co-hosting a Martin Guitar event at Bucks County Folk Music Shop’s New Britain, Pennsylvania location Thursday, September 13,6:00-8:00 PM.

A performance and talk by Martin Artist Craig Thatcher and Martin Factory Representative David Evans will highlight the event, along with an opportunity for guests to audition many unique Martin Guitars.  This event is free and open to the public.

Located at 40 Sand Road in New Britain, Karl Dieterichs opened Bucks County Folk Music Shop in 1966.  Today Karl and his staff are celebrating 46 years of bringing retail, repairs, instruction, and manufacturing to the Philadelphia region and beyond.  Bucks County Folk Music Shop has been a Martin dealer since 1970 and a Certified Martin Warranty Repair Center since the program began in the 1980s.

C.F. Martin and Company, Inc., located in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, was founded in the U.S. in 1833, and has been continuously family owned and operated for six generations.
