It's time for the 19th anniversary of Pumpkinfest, a fun-filled family festival that takes place in Doylestown, celebrating “Red Ribbon Week,” a national anti-alcohol and other drug abuse campaign that promotes community awareness and involvement.

Pumpkinfest activities take place in Doylestown's historic Fonthill Park, home of the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works as well as Fonthill, which was Henry Mercer’s home.  Both buildings feature unique architecture and construction and are two of the earliest poured-concrete structures in America.  The historic charm provides the perfect backdrop for a spook-tacular evening!

Past winner, “Moaning Lisa” by Hillary Reehl

Area artists carve giant 100-200 pound pumpkin squash in the Pumpkin Gallery which are illuminated each evening in the archways of the Historic Tile Works.  Two stages will feature live entertainment all day on both days while clowns, magicians, and musicians entertain. For the kids, there is a petting zoo, hayride, and giant inflatable rides.  Feast on hot dogs, wraps, fresh soups, and funnel cakes as well as fall favorites like pumpkin pie, kettle corn, and other delicious seasonal foods.  Kids of all ages, from toddlers to the young at heart, are invited to join the celebration.

General admission for adults is $5 for one day and $8 for the entire weekend; for children ages 12 and under it is $3 for one day and $5 for the weekend.  Children ages 2 and under enter free.  Admission includes access to the grounds and pumpkin gallery and all musical entertainment.  There are additional charges for giant inflatable rides and other activities.

All Bucks County elementary school students can receive FREE admission by bringing a decorated pumpkin (no carved pumpkins please).
