Women own nearly 12 million businesses in the U.S. today and the number continues to grow. Many women’s business associations exist to help women form new ventures, grow networks and keep their companies running strong.
For local business women, SCORE of Bucks County is always there to lend their expertise. Based on previous success they are now accepting registrations for their 2nd Annual Women Building Businesses Event. The event will be held on Wed., June 20 at Parx Casino East, 2999 Street Road, Bensalem, PA from 9 am to 1 pm.
Highlights
Among the program highlights will be a keynote address by Kelly Hoey, author and networking expert. Hoey is the author of Build Your Dream Network: Forging Powerful Relationships in a Hyper-connected World. She will speak on how to effectively leverage your business connections to build strong, productive relationships and achieve your personal and career ambitions.
Additionally, Donna Botti of Delos Inc. will share her expertise on successfully marketing your business to beat the competition. Her session, “What is Your Value Proposition,” will teach how to tell your prospective customers why they should do business with you rather than your competitors. Delos, Inc. is professional services firm from Collegeville, PA.
Finally, the Small Business Association (SBA) will provide information on its many services and opportunities for funding and SCORE of Bucks County clients will share their success stories. There will also be plenty of opportunities for networking with other business owners.
