Jean-Pierre and Rebecca Bisilliat just celebrated the two-year anniversary of opening their well-known food truck, Bonjour Creperie, which offers something food trucks can’t often provide.  “We chose to start a food truck that offered Crepes for many reasons one being that we could provide both sweet and savory options which is unique for a truck” says Jean-Pierre who has a rich history with Crepes having spent a few years in his youth with his grandparents in Brittany, where Crepes originated in France.

The pair are partners in business and in life, being married over 20 years.  “We like food a lot and watch a lot of the Food Network shows, when we saw The Great Food Truck Race we thought that would be a good way to go since Food Trucks are growing in this area.” Says Jean-Pierre. It turns out they were right since they took home a coveted Vendi award last year.

Jean-Pierre believes that Bucks County is the ideal region for food with an international flair, “The people here demand a certain quality of food; they pay for good food and exceptional service and that is what we try to provide them. They are also well traveled and enjoy eating a crepe that reminds them of their time in Paris or French Canada.”

The truck can be seen at many farmers markets throughout the region during the warmer months and Jean-Pierre works with many of the local farmers to provide fresh local ingredients whenever possible.

After just 2 years on the scene Jean-Pierre and Rebecca have proven that they can provide all that their customers need.  So much so that, through the connection of one of the many corporate customers they cater to, they will be opening a café later this month.

“The opportunity came to run the café in the building of one of our customers so we put in a bid with a few other restaurateurs and we won,” explains Jean-Pierre of the upcoming expansion.  “Our customers believe that we have what it takes to expand the business. We will offer crepes, as always, but also many other menu items that people expect of a café.”

Bonjour Creperie Café is set to open soon Mondays through Fridays from 7am-3pm in the business development at 790 Township Line Rd in Yardley.  They will also continue catering and of course running the food truck as soon as the season opens in March.
