The Fourth of July is right around the corner!  If you are looking for ways to celebrate in Bucks County, we've put together a guide with everything that's happening in Bucks surrounding the 4th.  Happy Independence Day!

 

Lower Bucks

Newtown's First Fourth and Fireworks
Newtown
July 7th, starting at 4:00pm

First Fourth is an annual community event that is run by volunteers. This year's event will feature a parade through Newtown, a baseball game between township and borough employees, a Colonial encampment at the Newtown Middle School with members of the Crossing Community Church offering cooking demos and cannons. There will also be a fireworks display sponsored by the Newtown Athletic Club.

 

Southampton Days
1255 Second St. Pike, Southampton (between Tamanend Park and Klinger Middle School)
July 2nd – 7th

Events provide fun for the whole family. Games, rides and entertainment for small children. Rides and entertainment for teens. Bands for teens and adults along with food, crafts, children’s games and bingo for everyone. The event is organized so that other community organizations can raise funds and advertise their services. By providing our community organizations the opportunity to promote their organization, everyone in our community can benefit.

 

Friday Night Fireworks!
New Hope & Lambertville
Every Friday night until August 31st, 9:30pm

Friday Night Fireworks display of the wonderful Delaware River every night from Memorial Day weekend until the end of August. Orchestrated by Garden State Fireworks, a glittering ten-minute firework show will illuminate the sky over the Delaware River for the summer season. In addition, most retail businesses on both sides of the river will stay open late.

 

Washington Crossing State Park, Washington Crossing
July 4th, starts at 8:00am

Participate in the 5k or 10k scenic run. Pre-registration is required. Upper Makefield Business Association will be hosting the “Welcome Tent.” Volunteers will be available for questions and course directions. There will also be an expanded food tent with fresh fruits, bottled water, and bagels.

 

Fourth of July BBQ and Fireworks
Sesame Place, Langhorne
July 4th, BBQ starts at 5:00pm, Fireworks start at 9:25pm

Join us in celebration of Independence Day! Event includes buffet dinner and character appearances in Big Bird's Riverside Pavilion. Adults are $25 plus tax, children from 2-11 are $17 plus tax, and infants under 2 but require a reservation. Park admission ticket is required. After a fun-filled dinner, the night sky sparkles at Sesame Place, with a spectacular fireworks show, set to a Sesame Street.

 

Middletown Township 4th of July Celebration!
Parade begins at Veterans Memorial Park, Langhorne
July 4th, 9:00am – 10:30am

Celebrate the 4th of July with Middletown Twp. as we have our first parade! The parade will begin at 9:00 am with a ceremony at the new Veteran's Memorial Park on Veterans Highway and then go down Trenton Road, finishing at the MAA fields. Radio Disney will stay for one hour after the parade ends.

 

4th Annual Run Over Cancer 5k
Council Rock High School North, Newtown
July 7th, registration starts at 8:00am

Help Run Over Cancer surpass their goal of $30,000 to fight pancreatic cancer! Pre-registration is $30 if done before July 2nd. Day of race is $40. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 300 registrants. There will also be Run Over Cancer baseball caps available for $10.

 

Central Bucks

Celebration of Freedom
Peddler's Village, Lahaska
June 30th, 4:00pm – 10:00pm

Join us for our 9th annual “Celebration of Freedom”. Live entertainment, children's activities, and picnic-style favorites await you at this patriotic event. Fireworks display at 9:15pm. Admission to the festival and parking are free!

 

 

 

Annual Tri-Municipal 4th of July Parade
New Britain Township
July 4th, starts at 9:30am

Parade begins at Towne Center (Route 202/Giant), travels 202 South to 152 North and ends at North Branch Park on Park Avenue. Bring your lawn chairs and watch your hometown community parade go by with marching bands, scout troops, antique cars, decorated floats, fire trucks and so much more! Join the 14th annual Float Contest by getting creative and strutting your stuff! Great prizes are awarded for the most original, most humorous, and most patriotic floats. Fonthill's Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration
Fonthill Museum, Doylestown
July 4th, 12:00pm – 5:00pm

Experience “the good-old days” as Fonthill recreates an early 20th century July Fourth Celebration. Festivities include a decorated bike parade, a town ball game (19th-century baseball), a watermelon eating contest, free old-time games and live music. Food available. Concert Under the Stars

Quakertown's 32nd Community Day Celebration and Car Show
Memorial Park, Mill St, Quakertown
July 4th, registration from 8:00am – 12:00pm, awards at 3:00pm (Rain date: July 7th)

Celebrate the 4th of July with some car show class! Fun for the car aficionados and families alike. There will be entertainment, programs for kids, baseball games, firemen water battles, bands, and food stands. There will also be fireworks at dusk. Join us for a fun-filled day with the family! From food to a variety of contests, there will be something for everyone. The day starts off with flag raising, the Official Pennridge Community day opening ceremony, awards presented to Community Day Essay Contest winners, and citizen of the year at Sellersville Veterans Monument, and several special awards.
