Who? This popular event is hosted by the Women in Business Committee of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce
When? March 21st, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm
Where? Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland
Why? In addition to featuring over two dozen local purveyors of food and drink and dozens of raffles and silent auction items, this supports a great cause.
The scholarship fund gives deserving local women education money to gain the knowledge they need to re-enter the workforce. 100% of the proceeds are distributed directly to the accredited institution the recipients will be attending. These strong, courageous women need the financial support to help them achieve their career goals and help them gain personal and professional success.
Since 1983, Women in Business (WIB) has awarded 90 scholarships to deserving women in Bucks County, totaling more than $241,000. All proceeds from WIB ’s signature event, the Gourmet Getaway, go to the WIB Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund assists Bucks County women who overcame substantial challenges and wish to re-enter the workforce by educating themselves.
