Broken Goblet, Bucks County's newest craft brewery, started in an unusual way: as a club. Co-owners Mike LaCouture and Jay Grosse, a lifelong Morrisville PA resident, formed The Brewtal Beer Club as a way to generate support, test their beers and try out their marketing. Within six months the club grew to 30 “members,” hosted events with upwards of 100 and supplied the remaining two owner/brewers, Andrew “Bubba” Grosse and resident mad scientist “Bitter” Joe Fazekas.

The Broken Goblet is set to open to the public on Saturday, July 12, 2014, with a short ceremony just before noon.  The opening extravaganza will include food trucks, live entertainment during the day, special one-off beer tappings, and evening entertainment from singer/songwriter Jeffrey Gaines. They'll unveil their 1,400 square foot tap room and 1,500 square foot brew house, which is located at 1500 Grundys Lane, in Bristol PA, just a hop or two away from fellow-Bucks County brewery, Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company.

Beyond opening day, Broken Goblet will be open on Wednesday and Friday evenings as well as all weekend long. There, locals will be able to sample from 6 rotating taps, including standards like their Impact! IPA, Yin Yang Oatmeal Stout, and Steinbeiser's Buried Treasure – a cream ale. They'll also be unveiling 10+ nuanced brews, including two tea-infused beers and a high-gravity Saison, as well as seasonal specials.

This tap room promises to be a treat for all senses. In addition to tasty brews, the tap room is home to a live sound stage with a pro sound and video system built to accommodate both bands as well as movies, sporting events and gaming tournaments.

Staying true to one of their three founding tenets, Broken Goblet is striving to be low impact and an asset to the local community. To that end, the all beers are Vegan compliant, and much of the food served will be derived from a local farm who uses the brewery's spent grain as feed for the animals that ultimately provide the meat.

Cheers!
