Screen Shot 2015-12-01 at 4.34.40 PMIn 1996, the world-class architectural team of Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry brought to the area Jericho National Golf Course, known for the dramatic bunkering and contoured greens. Jericho quickly established itself as one of the finest private courses in Bucks County. The organization also hosts the Dom DiJulia School of Golf, home to the fifth ranked instructor in the state according to Golf Digest. The club has hosted several events including the Instinet Senior PGA qualifying tournament and a Philadelphia Amateur tournament. The club brings prestige to the area’s golf community as well as offering many ways for community members to enjoy the club without becoming members.

“Most private clubs require people to know a member or be sponsored by a member to have an event, but at Jericho we don’t,” says Bryant. “We are open to the public for events, including parties, galas, fundraisers, showers, weddings, and other functions.” Various banquet rooms including the Gallery and the Gold Room accommodate small parties of a few close friends while the Grand Ballroom that can accommodate up to 300 people, making it ideal for seminars, company galas, holiday parties, and auctions.

Most of Jericho’s members live locally, making a family-like community of golfers. “Jericho focuses on maintaining a great product, both on the course and in the food and beverage department,” says Bryant. “We offer gorgeous golf and dining at affordable prices in the unmatched location in the heart of Jericho Mountain.”

That family community feeling that Jericho fosters within its members flows out to the community beyond the club’s doors. The club is a good neighbor. It hosts golf outings for various charitable organizations as well as fundraising events that support local causes and nonprofit organizations. It also supports a local soup kitchen during the holidays and participates in donating to local branch of the Salvation Army.

Besides being open to the public for events, the club offers a dining membership to the two dining areas for the very reasonable price of just $10 a year. Members can enjoy Charlie’s Tavern, a pub-style eatery with a casual atmosphere, patio space that is perfect for a post golf round meal or dining out with family and friends, and the Restaurant and Members Lounge, which is more private and formal perfect for a night out or entertaining clients or guests. Being a dining member also entitles one to special restaurant events that take place throughout the year, including the upcoming Brunch with Santa Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., as well as holiday parties and themed dinners. Whether you want to dine with friends, family, or work colleagues, Jericho’s restaurant is the perfect setting with panoramic views of the beautiful golf course.
