The show “follows the intertwining lives of eleven New Yorkers, all hoping to catch the express train to success, love and happiness.” The talented cast includes Doylestown’s own Justin Guarini, who is starring now in the new musical “Cake Off” at Bucks County Playhouse by Sheri Wilner, Julia Jordan and Adam Gwon and features Guarini with Tony-nominee Euan Morton, Barrymore winner Michele Ragusa and newcomer Aidan J. Lawrence.
“Cake Off” runs through September 10, 2016 and then Guarini is off to rehearsals for In Transit with cast members David Abeles, Moya Angela, Steven “HeaveN” Cantor, Telly Leung, Erin Mackey, Gerianne Pérez, Margo Seibert, Chesney Snow, James Snyder, Mariand Torres, Nicholas Ward, Adam Bashian, Laurel Harris and Aurelia Williams.

With a book, music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez, James-Allen Ford, Russ Kaplan and Sara Wordsworth, In Transit is directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall, and is produced by Janet B. Rosen for Six Train Productions. Scott Landis serves as Executive Producer.

Guarini, who is getting raves for the multiple roles he plays in Cake Off, is the breakout star of “American Idol” and several Broadway musicals and plays. After creating a sensation as the first runner up (to Kelly Clarkson) in the very first season of “American Idol,” Guarani’s career has taken him from music to TV and film, as well as the stage: his numerous Broadway appearances include “Wicked,” “Romeo and Juliet,” “Green Day’s American Idiot,” and “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.”
