If you are looking to improve your business savvy this fall, Launch Pad: Prepare for Success seminars may be just what you need. The six module series will provide tools for launching your professional career and building skills for continued success. The certificate program is led by local business experts and is a collaborative effort of Bucks County Community College, Penn Community Bank and Sisters U.
Sessions will be held at Bucks County Community College’s Upper Bucks Campus in Perkasie beginning Thursday, Sept. 21 at 12:30 pm. The one hour workshops include the following topics:
First Impressions (9/28/17): Learn to differentiate between the characteristics of “Positive” vs. “Negative” first impressions and analyze forms of non-verbal communication.
Financial Independence (10/12/17): Discover the steps to gaining financial literacy and formulate a plan for future financial independence.
Confident Communicator (10/26/17): What makes a confident communicator in a group environment? Identify specific tools for effective communication and role play various scenarios.
Professional Image (11/2/17): Explore expectations for professional attire by industry and position as well as compare/contrast sample images of how to dress for success.
Resume Writing (11/16/17): Whether putting together a first draft or fine tuning your resume, learn tips on how to craft a resume that gets you in the door. The session will also explore job search tips and interview techniques.
Spirit of Volunteerism (11/30/17): Meet others who will share many opportunities for making an impact in your community through volunteer projects.
